probs a better experience/EXCELLENT than I expected as I had never for 19 years experienced any Care Home. Thanks

My gran has been In Earlsferry House now for a couple of months. She lived independently prior to residing at Earlsferry house. I was so happy that a place became available. Every time I visit my gran is very settled. In grans words "I have no complaints, I'm well looked after". The staff are amazing
and you can see from the offset that person centred care is at the centre of what they do. Earlsferry house has a very homely feeling and we are always made to feel very welcome.

I honestly do not know where to begin. This carehome has changed our lives knowing my gran is being looked after by the best team. The manager and her team are outstanding and go above and beyond to provide personalised care.

My gran is extremely happy and in her own words everything is one hundred

percent ! She loves the staff and loves the food and people,

I feel she has a new lease of life albeit she is frail this home and care they provide is giving her the best life she can ever have,

Every time I visit every staff member is smiling in which I know can certainly be a tough job but they are so happy cheery and welcoming.

There is always a lot of social activities for the residents to join in on and the staff encourage the residents to join in my team says she wouldn't join in and every time I am in she is joining in and smiling !!!

I see the staff sing dance and generally always treating everyone like they would their own family, you can just tell the passion they have.

Craighead Care Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother had been a resident at Craighead Nursing Home, Newport since October 2023. During her time there the level of care and support she received has been fantastic. All of the staff have been empathic, compassionate and trustworthy. The relationships that they built with Mum, and with myself &
my sister was exceptional. The home is spotlessly clean and is a welcoming place for all visitors. The decision to have a loved one admitted to a home is never easy but the way in which the staff have conducted themselves made the last couple of years for Mum so much easier.
Reply from Jasmine Ali, Manager at Craighead Care HomeThank you very much, Stuart, for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and generous review of your mother's time at Craighead Nursing Home. We are truly grateful for your kind words and for the trust you and your family placed in us since your mother's admission in October 2023. It means a great deal to know that the care, compassion and support provided by our team helped make those years easier for your mum and for you and your sister. Building meaningful, respectful relationships with residents and their families is at the heart of everything we do, and your feedback reassures us that this was felt and valued.
Your comments about the cleanliness, welcoming environment and the dignity shown to your mum will be shared with the whole team, who will be deeply encouraged by your appreciation. Supporting families through what is never an easy decision is something we take very seriously, and we are truly honoured to have been part of your mother's journey.

My lovely MIL has been a resident at Maryfield West for a couple of months now and we have been so impressed with the way that all the staff look after her, from the food, the room, the overall facilities and, most of all, the quality care and attention from the staff. They treat my MIL - and us -
with such compassion and respect. Having a family member in a care home, who is in "end of life" care, is a stressful time, but the team at Maryfield West have made it a smooth, careful and comfortable experience. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Big thanks to Diana and all the team.
Reply from Diana Toneva, Home Manager at Maryfield West Nursing HomeDear Hayley, please pass our deepest sympathies to the family. We know that having a loved one looked after in a care home can be such an emotional journey and please know that our team did their very best to look after her with dignity and compassion. Your mother in law was a pleasure to look after and she will be missed by all. Your feedback is much appreciated and I will ensure that it is shared with the team. Kind regards .

My dad has been in here for 2 weeks so far and I am actually blown away with this care home. Every single member of staff is so helpful, caring and knowledgeable about all the residents. It is not a this is how we do it place it is very much a what can we do our best to help you with place. There is
always something going on, always loads of staff around, medical care has been exceptional. So far I do not have a single complaint. I was not expecting dad to settle quickly, as he has dementia, and it was a lot of change for him however it has been like he has felt safe, looked after and communicating so much better right from the minute he got there. The facility has a very homely feel when you go in. Every person I have asked questions always is in the know and extremely helpful. Even hugs for me because let's face it it is an emotional move. Dad has said he feels very well looked after and that this has been the right decision for him. I can even visit any time at all.

My mother was admitted to Bearehill after her home was severely damaged in the flooding caused by Storm Babet. The restoration of her house was expected to take a considerable amount of time.
She was initially admitted to Bearehill on a respite package. At first, she felt apprehensive, which is completely
normal, but she quickly settled in. Eventually, she expressed a desire to remain in the facility if a vacancy became available. When one did, she adjusted very well.
This positive experience is largely due to the staff she interacts with daily. They are attentive, respectful, accommodating, and professional in their approach to caring for the residents.
Now, my mother benefits from regular interaction with both other residents and staff. The activities offered almost daily are very beneficial, focusing not only on entertainment but also on mental and physical well-being, which is particularly important for individuals in her age group.
The communication via social media is beneficia
