My mother is happy, settled & well looked after by caring staff, with plenty of activities & a varied diet. Staff are always pleasant & welcoming when I visit & ready to tell me what she's been up to & how she is. They phone with any problems/information & keep me up to date.

My mother, I believe has had years added to her life due to the care, support, fun, laughter and company of staff my mother now has. Having dementai has not been made an issue. it has been addressed and dealt with, with love, care & support from the staff. People should all realise the pressure these

I have been visiting a minimum of three days a week for almost three years. There is an overwhelming feeling of genuine love and care from all staff. My sister is well cared for. I too am welcomed when I visit. The manager is very enthusiastic and very keen to really make it a home from home and she

does that very well. I have no complaints whatsoever only heartfelt appreciation for the loving care shown to my sister and all the residents.

Overall Experience

Craighead Care Home has come up amazing since manager Jasmine started. The home is welcoming and vibrant. Always changing with new experiences and activities for residents. All the staff are welcoming, helpful and happy to help in any way. Residents always appear happy and comfortable with staff. The

home itself is clean, well kept, welcoming and lots of new things to see when you come in. Walking in feels like you are part of a family.

Staff/management polite and informative. My wife always appears clean & tidy and her living area much the same. There are plenty of activities if she wants, unfortunately my wife has had a few falls while walking corridors and was quickly attended by doctor & paramedics at the time. Additional safety

pressure mats were placed in room to alert when she was out of bed to be monitored.

Overall Experience

We as a family had no experience of care homes, so when our dad had to go to one we were obviously apprehensive and worried.
The care and consideration shown to our dad is amazing,the carers are dedicated genuine lovely girls.They are kind and caring and very professional. The carers take time to get

to know there patients . They know how to deal with the level of dementia each patient has and treat them with dignity. We are so lucky to have found Gowrie nursing home. The facilities are great they have daily activities for residents trips to local areas and events. We feel my dad is safe well cared for and knowing this makes it less of a worry for our family.

Overall Experience

Mum moved into Gowrie House in January this year. She settled immediately saying she was going to like it on the first day. All the staff are very friendly and compassionate towards her needs and feelings. We have personalised her room which she feels at home with. Food is excellent. Nothing is too

much trouble for any of the staff at any time. The activities team are amazing and organise fun filled days and trips for the residents. Mum has said she is living her best life! She is thriving in this lovely home. For myself and my sister and our families this is a huge relief and weight off our shoulders knowing that mums needs are being met and that she is safe and looked after, but more importantly, she is happy.

My mum has settled well feels safe and well cared for.she hs great fondness for staf who have worked hard getting to know her and understand her care needs and emotional needs.Staff and management are always willing to help with any concerns raised. Care staff and activity staff have built her confidence

with her mobility. she trust them and enjoys activities especially 1 to 1 and increasingly group activities. This has allowed us to be mother and daughter again and enjoy quality time, and she has always stories to tell of her day. I would happily recommend Gowrie House to other families. They have looked after both my parents.

A fantastic experience that made my friend very happy was the activity girl going around the rooms with a tea trolley and the ice-cream tune blaring, my friend says that the ice-cream van, go quickly, get a cone. There was ice cream, cones, sprinkles and a lot of genuine care went into surprising the

residents, it's one of my friends and myselfs best memory, and how important it is to maintain familiarity and normality. All the staff from the top throughout every valued staff member are respectful and cares.

Overall Experience

I have been a resident for 3/5 years. Overall most of the staff are lovely, very caring and kind. I was in a bad place mentally when I came and the staff took me under their wing and pulled me out. I have lost most of my family and the staff fill that empty space. When I was really ill and close to

death, I was asked where I wanted my last days - another care home or here. I signed for here without a second thought. As I have said before the staff fill the place of my family. People come, even during their break time to spend time with me. I do not want to be here but if have to, better here than elsewhere. Some activities are planned to keep our mind occupied.

Overall Experience

Discussed my father's well being and this was noted by staff. My father misplaces items as he has early dementia so plan to be put in place so he doesn't lose his hearing aids and spectacles.
The staff have been attentive to his daily needs and I feel he is receiving good care and attention, whilst

keeping on top of administering his medication.
The staff are always kind and friendly towards my father and include him in all activities he wishes to attend.

Well, we've only just arrived here. My husband is settling in nicely after enduring 14 weeks in hospital. I cannot praise the welcome and daily care he is receiving highly enough. From the manager to the nurses, day/night staff to housekeeping who are all caring and professional - over and above. Nothing

is too much trouble.
Gowrie is clean, well organised and homely.

Overall Experience

Mum was admitted January 25 until her death on 6th. June.
During her stay, the staff did all they could to help, make her welcome, comfortable, and as happy as could be.
The staff were compassionate, caring, always with a smile. Mum, initially interacted freely with the carers, but unfortunately,

as her condition deteriorated and needed more care.
As time went on Mum needed more intensive care which the staff delivered with a smile. As time passed she became completely unable to do anything for herself. The carers continued to provide professional care up to the last day.

Overall Experience

From the first time we stepped inside the building, we were made very welcome by the manager and staff. This has continued for the last 5 weeks, and my wife has improved her communication & movement. It feels like one big family with residents helping & looking after each other. As well as the relatives.

I don't know how the staff do it. Keep so cheerful. The staff must be very carefully chosen. Not everyone can work in a care home. My family are so happy that my wife is in here & any problems are dealt with quickly.
