Bank Kitchen Assistant  Location: Beckside, North Hykeham Pay rate: £12.31 per hour  Contracted hours: 0 ABOUT OUR ROLE As a Kitchen Assistant you will be responsible for helping to prepare the meals, snacks and drinks for residents within the guidelines set by the Home Manager and Chef / Cook. You will understand and promote the philosophy of choice rights and fulfilment for all residents. You will get to know the residents and understand their likes and dislikes to ensure that they enjoy their dining experience. In joining us, you’ll also become part of our extended family. Beckside is a 57 bed Care Home situated in North Hykeham. You don’t need to have previous formal catering experience, as we’ll give you the training you need, although it would be helpful if you hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. What we’re looking for is someone who is keen on cooking and takes pride in kitchen hygiene standards. You’ll have a positive can-do approach, with good communication skills and you’ll be passionate about ensuring our residents receive the best service possible. You’ll be confident in engaging with our elderly residents to understand their individual needs and enjoy being part of the wider team in the home.
