Job summary
As a Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting residents with all aspects of their daily lives. You will work closely with the care team to ensure residents receive safe, respectful and person-centred care tailored to their individual needs.
This role is offered on a 33 hour contract, worked across three long shifts of 8am–8pm with alternate weekend working on a rota basis.
Your responsibilities will include:

Providing personal care such as washing, bathing, dressing, toileting and continence support

Assisting residents with mobility, transfers and the use of equipment such as hoists and slide sheets

Supporting residents at mealtimes, including preparing simple snacks and monitoring dietary needs

Providing meaningful companionship and emotional support

Encouraging residents to take part in daily activities, exercise and social events

Observing and reporting changes in residents' health, wellbeing or behaviour

Maintaining accurate daily care notes, incident logs and handover information

Following all Safeguarding, Infection Control and Health & Safety policies

Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, visiting professionals and management

Desirable:

Previous experience in a care or support role

NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Health & Social Care
