We are seeking an enthusiastic Activity Lead to join our warm and welcoming 46-bed nursing home in Chorley. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing joy, stimulation, and connection to residents every day.
About the Role
As our Activity Lead, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering a varied and engaging programme of activities that supports residents’ physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. You’ll work closely with our care team, families, and the local community to create meaningful opportunities tailored to individual interests and needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a monthly activities programme

Lead group activities, one-to-one sessions, and outings

Encourage resident participation and promote independence

Work with staff and families to personalise activity plans

Organise themed events, celebrations, and community involvement

Maintain activity records and risk assessments

Support and supervise activity assistants and volunteers
About You:

Creative, energetic, and compassionate

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Confident leading group sessions

Ability to adapt activities for differing abilities

Experience in a care home or activity role desirable, but training can be provided
