Birkdale Tower Care Home, located in the heart of Birkdale, Southport, is a beautifully restored landmark offering luxurious surroundings and exceptional, person-centred care. We are currently recruiting a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team and help deliver outstanding care during daytime hours.

As a Care Assistant on Nights, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting residents with personal care, hygiene, and comfort during the night
  • Providing reassurance and companionship when needed
  • Assisting residents with mobility and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
  • Monitoring wellbeing throughout the night and promptly reporting any changes or concerns
  • Maintaining accurate care records and ensuring clear handovers to the day team
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a calm, safe, and restful environment

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential
  • A caring, professional approach with a positive attitude
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends on a rota basis

*Overtime is paid for working over full time hours. However, overtime enhancement will not feature on your contract of employment and can be withdrawn at any time as managers decision is final. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions.
