Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Senior Care
Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide
high-quality care to our residents in a care home setting, ensuring
their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for implementing
care plans, supervising junior staff, and fostering a supportive
environment for both residents and staff. Your leadership skills and
ability to communicate effectively will be essential in promoting a
positive atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Administer Medications and complete competencies.
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and training as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the management team.
- Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss resident progress and any necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within the care home environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with residents compassionately.
- Leadership qualities with experience in supervising or mentoring staff members.
- Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation accurately.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents when needed.
- A caring attitude towards elderly individuals, demonstrating patience and empathy at all times.
