The Opportunity
Henderson House Care Home is entering an exciting new chapter. This 60-bed nursing, residential and dementia service in Dunfermline is ready for a strong, visible leader to build on recent progress and lead the next phase of development.
We’re looking for a Home Manager who thrives on driving quality, supporting people, and shaping a positive culture - someone who can bring stability, clarity and momentum as the home moves forward.
About Henderson House Care Home
Our CI rating is 3,4,4,4,4, with occupancy at approximately 85% and average weekly fees of £1,119.
The incoming Home Manager will lead the home’s improvement plan, reinforce robust clinical governance, and continue embedding consistent, person-centred standards of care.
You will be supported by an experienced regional team who have
delivered successful improvement programmes across the Care Concern
Group portfolio.
In addition to this strong regional support, you
will be joining a team that has shown exceptional dedication and
resilience. Despite recent managerial changes,
the staff have worked tirelessly to maintain a warm, vibrant and person-centred environment for residents. Their commitment, teamwork and pride in the home have kept Henderson House thriving - with a waiting list, strong community reputation, and consistently positive feedback. This is a team ready for a leader who will recognise their achievements, champion their strengths, and help them continue building on the excellent foundation they have created.
Contract
- Up to £60,000 per annum (DOE)

- Pension scheme
- 5.6 weeks annual leave
- Private Medical Insurance
Our Strategy
Our strategic priorities focus on strengthening excellence, stability and pride across every part of the home.
We will achieve full CI compliance by embedding high-quality clinical
and operational systems that ensure safe, effective and compassionate
care.
Workforce stability is central to our plans. We will
continue supporting a dedicated team who have already shown remarkable
commitment in recent months, helping them thrive through clear
leadership, development opportunities and a shared sense of purpose.
To secure long-term success, we will also prioritise growing occupancy and deepening community relationships, building on the home’s positive reputation and strong demand.
Finally, we aim to nurture a culture where people feel valued, connected, and proud of the care they deliver - celebrating teamwork, trust and resilience.
The Profile We’re Looking For
To ensure Henderson House continues its journey of success, we are
seeking -
- A credible and resilient leader who can inspire confidence and bring people together.
- Proven success leading a care home through improvement or development.
- Experience managing a service (40+ beds) with nursing and dementia provision.
- A visible, hands-on leadership style that promotes high standards and open communication.
- Strong stakeholder and regulatory engagement skills.
- Commercial awareness, with a track record of building occupancy and managing budgets.
- Registered Nurse (NMC) desirable, but not essential for candidates with strong leadership and turnaround experience.
- Local knowledge is beneficial but not essential — integrity, presence and authenticity matter most.
This role will suit a leader who can champion and empower an already committed and hard-working team. Someone who can build on their achievements, strengthen collective confidence, and guide the home toward its full potential.
