Responsibilities

• Operate laundry machines, including washers, dryers, and specialty equipment, to process linens, towels, and residents clothing with precision and care
• Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry to ensure timely delivery to various departments or guest rooms
• Perform cleaning duties on laundry areas and equipment to uphold safety standards and maintain a tidy workspace
• Handle delicate items requiring dry cleaning or special treatment, following specific care instructions
• Assist with the collection of soiled linens from guest rooms or designated areas, ensuring prompt turnaround times
• Maintain accurate records of laundry loads processed and inventory levels of linens and supplies
• Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling and equipment operation to ensure a safe working environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily laundry goals while upholding quality standards

Requirements

• Previous experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Basic knowledge of laundry procedures, including washing, drying, folding, and dry cleaning techniques
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting linens
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude that fosters teamwork
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety procedures is a plus
• Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

7 hours per week, to work every other weekend.

Rate of Pay £12.21
