Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to work 22.5 hours per week to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry. This role is essential in supporting our kitchen staff in meal preparation, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed
• Support chefs with cooking tasks
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitizing work areas
• Handle food safely and follow all food safety regulations
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment or food service is preferred
• Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
