Role Summary

Coate Water Care is a well-established care home provider, dedicated to delivering the highest standards of person-centred care to older people across our residential and nursing homes.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Registered Home Manager to lead Avebury House Care Centre in Devizes.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the home at a key stage in its journey, where you will have the autonomy to shape its future direction, embed high standards of care, and build a strong, values-led team culture. You will play a pivotal role in driving quality, stability and continuous improvement while maintaining a strong focus on resident wellbeing and operational excellence.

As Home Manager, you will balance effective leadership and commercial awareness with hands-on engagement with residents, families and staff. You will be supported by an experienced senior management team and benefit from ongoing professional development opportunities in a positive and rewarding environment.

About You

To join Coate Water Care as a Home Manager, you must be a Registered Manager (RM).

You will be a confident, resilient and compassionate leader with a forward-thinking mindset and the ability to inspire teams at all levels. You will have a proven track record of successfully managing a Good or Outstanding CQC-rated care home, alongside strong governance, compliance and financial management skills.

Above all, you will be passionate about delivering outstanding, person-centred care and creating a safe, welcoming and high-quality home environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the care home, including Care, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Administration
  • Recruit, train, develop and retain a high-performing care team
  • Ensure safe staffing levels and effective rota management
  • Oversee the development and review of individualised care plans
  • Ensure full compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and best practice standards
  • Manage budgets, occupancy, resources and maintenance within agreed financial parameters
  • Maintain open and effective communication with residents, families, staff and external professionals
  • Uphold and promote the home’s values of dignity, respect and quality of life
  • Lead audits, governance, reporting and quality improvement initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement and a positive, inclusive home culture
