Duties

• Assist service users with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained
• Support individuals with their personal care routines in accordance with care plans
• Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional requirements are met
• Administer medication as directed and record all relevant information accurately
• Provide companionship and emotional support to service users, fostering positive relationships
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
• Support with light domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organising personal spaces
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care delivery
• Assist with transportation needs, including driving service users to appointments or activities when required

Skills

• Valid driving licence and experience in home care or care home settings is desirable
• Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement personalised support strategies effectively
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact confidently with service users and team members
• Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism at all times
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Organised with attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of care are consistently met
