Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to
provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within
their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in
enhancing the well-being and independence of service users by
delivering personalised care tailored to their needs. This position

Duties
- Assist service users with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, ensuring their comfort and dignity are maintained
- Support individuals with their personal care routines in accordance with care plans
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional requirements are met
- Administer medication as directed and record all relevant information accurately
- Provide companionship and emotional support to service users, fostering positive relationships
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
- Support with light domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organising personal spaces
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care delivery
- Assist with transportation needs, including driving service users to appointments or activities when required
Skills
- Valid driving licence and experience in home care or care home settings is desirable
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement personalised support strategies effectively
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact confidently with service users and team members
- Good IT skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism at all times
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of care are consistently met
