Senior Support Worker

Job summary

• As a Senior Support Worker/Team Leader,you will work as a part of a team,with service users,focusing on the expresses needs of the service user and providing support to promote the individual's independence and recovery.
• You will also promote and support the use of a range of therapeutic activities as a part of an agreed plan of care.
• Also,you will be required to support service users to draw up support plans,to enable them to develop life and social skills.
• Provide leadership and support for care staff and act as a champion for resident's safety and dignity.
• Provide effective means of communication and support for the Care Team.
• Supervise care staff on a day to day basis and through formal supervision processes.
• Liaise with GP within a week of admission and their local GP within a week of admission and residents recieve the medical and clinical support they require.
• Demand high quality care delivery focused on residents individually assessed needs and choices.
• You will also need a flexible approach to working hours,be able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and exhibit attitudes and behaviours reflective of ICS vision and values.
