The Royal Hospital Chelsea is home to the Chelsea Pensioners – retired soldiers who receive both sheltered accommodation and full nursing care in a community built on camaraderie, dignity and respect. Our nursing team plays a vital role in ensuring our veterans receive the highest standards of care in a safe and supportive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As Registered Nurse, you will:

Deliver person-centred nursing care with professionalism and empathy

Support the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of our Pensioners
-
Administer medication safely and in line with clinical guidelines
-
Lead and collaborate with care teams to ensure continuity of care
-
Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to care planning

Uphold the values of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in every interaction
What we’re looking for:

Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
-
Experience in adult or elderly care settings
-
Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
-
A commitment to dignity, respect, and high standards of care
-
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Skills / Qualifications:
- Breadth and depth of clinical knowledge relevant to older adult care
- Valid RGN NMC Pin
- Skilled in implementing
- reviewing
- and maintaining person-centred care plans and risk assessments in accordance with NMC guidelines and best practice.
- Strong clinical judgement and decision-making skills
- with the ability to respond promptly and appropriately to changes in pensioners’ conditions.
- High level of accuracy in clinical documentation and care planning
- with attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to delegate effectively
- supervise care teams
- and lead shifts with confidence and accountability.
- Understanding of good care principles and the CQC fundamental standards
- with a commitment to delivering safe
- effective
- and compassionate care.
- Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
- and their practical application in care environments.
