Nestled in the heart of East Lothian, Haddington Care Home is a purpose-built service offering high-quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite and Palliative care for up to 68 residents. With a welcoming and supportive team, we are proud to provide a home-from-home environment for the individuals we care for.

We are now looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team on a full time basis. Whether you have experience in care settings or are looking for a rewarding new environment where your culinary skills can make a meaningful difference, we would love to hear from you.

What We Offer:

• £14.00 per hour

What You Will Do:
As Chef, you will support the Head Chef in preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. From managing stock and maintaining kitchen cleanliness to contributing ideas for our menus, your role is vital to the health and happiness of those in our care.

You will take responsibility for day-to-day kitchen operations when required, ensuring food is prepared to a high standard, within budget, and in line with all food safety and hygiene regulations. Your attention to detail, creativity, and commitment to quality will help create meals that are both nourishing and enjoyable.

What We’re Looking For:

• City & Guilds 706 1 & 2 or equivalent qualification (or working towards)
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
• A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
• Good communication skills and a genuine interest in supporting older people
• Ability to manage kitchen duties confidently in the absence of the Head Chef
• Previous experience in a care setting is desirable, but not essential
