Kitchen Assistant

Location: Tudor House, Selby
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Hours: 30 hours/week
Shifts: mix of 9-2, 2-7 and 9-7 and alternate weekends
Type: Permanent, daytime shifts only

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving quality meals
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Support dietary needs, including dysphagia (training available)
• Work within budget and food safety guidelines
• Collaborate with the care team to support older residents, including those with dementia

Requirements

• Basic food hygiene certificate
• Experience in food preparation
• Experience in elderly care preferable
• Strong communication skills
• Genuine interest in working in a caring environment
• Team player with a kind and considerate nature
• Commitment to personal development and training
