Hazelbrook Care Home is a modern, purpose-built home offering specialist and complex care for 80 residents across four 20-bed, bungalow-style households. Designed for calm, therapeutic living, it supports people with advanced dementia, complex nursing needs, and mental health conditions.

We are now looking for a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Manager to take ownership of our home’s upkeep, ensuring our building, grounds, and equipment are always maintained to the highest standard.

Working closely with the Home Manager and wider team, you will take pride in maintaining a high-quality environment, proactively identifying improvements and ensuring compliance with safety standards at all times.

Your role as Maintenance Manager

As Maintenance Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance and safety of the home, ensuring everything operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance to ensure the home remains safe, functional, and comfortable
  • Conducting regular inspections of the building, equipment, and systems to identify and resolve issues proactively
  • Maintaining safety systems, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other compliance-critical equipment
  • Supporting installation of new equipment, furnishings, and appliances as required
  • Ensuring outdoor areas and grounds are well maintained, clean, and safe
  • Managing and maintaining tools, equipment, and maintenance records appropriately
  • Supporting improvement projects, refurbishments, and environmental enhancements within the home
  • Working closely with the Home Manager and external contractors to ensure all work meets required standards
  • Ensuring all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations and care home standards

What you will bring

You will have:

  • Previous maintenance experience, ideally within a care home, healthcare, or similar environment
  • Strong practical skills across general maintenance, repairs, and basic electrical, plumbing, or joinery tasks
  • A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage priorities effectively
  • Good understanding of health and safety and building compliance requirements
  • The ability to work independently while also collaborating with the wider team
  • A reliable, responsible, and solution-focused mindset
  • A genuine commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment
