Nestled in the heart of the Somerset countryside, La Fontana Dementia Nursing Home is a purpose-built haven for up to 76 residents, offering specialist Dementia and Nursing care. Here, care isn’t just a role it’s a calling, and our night team are the guardians of comfort, safety, and wellbeing.

As a Night Nurse, you’ll lead our overnight team, providing clinical excellence while nurturing a calm, supportive environment. Your leadership ensures residents sleep soundly, receive personalised care, and wake to a safe, warm, and comfortable home.

What You’ll Do:

Lead and Support: Guide your night team, ensuring smooth, safe, and compassionate care throughout the shift.

Resident Care: Monitor health conditions, administer medications safely, and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies.

Personalised Care Plans: Work closely with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to craft care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences.

Observations and Documentation: Keep accurate records of care, observations, and medication administration, ensuring all regulatory standards are met.

Promote Wellbeing: Support residents’ dignity, independence, and comfort overnight, and encourage gentle engagement and reassurance where needed.

Emergency Response: Be the first point of contact for any urgent situations, providing calm, professional support to residents and staff.

Team Collaboration: Foster a positive team culture, mentoring colleagues and promoting professional development even during night hours.

About You:

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC PIN
• Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care
• Calm, empathetic, and professional, with excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience in care homes is desirable but not essential you bring compassion and a willingness to learn
