Night Care Assistant

Job summary

You will be expected to provide essential overnight support to our residents ensuring their safety, comfort and dignity. Core duties include assisting with personal care, performing regular safe and well checks, monitoring health, providing companionship for distressed residents and conducting light cleaning and domestic tasks. 

Key responsibilities 

Assisting with washing, dressing, undressing and maintaining continence throughout the night

Conducting regular, discreet safe and well checks on residents to ensure their safety and well being

Reporting any changes in a residents physical or emotional state to the Nurse in charge

Answering call bells, providing reassurance to anxious residents, and assisting with mobility issues.

performing light cleaning such as laundry, tidying rooms, cleaning commodes and clinical waste bins

Accuratley recording notes on residents care and incidents during the night

Assisting residents to settle into bed and assisting with getting up, dressing, and breakfast in the morning
