What if your role wasn’t just about leading care… but about helping others lead richer lives?
At Peninsula Care Homes, we believe moving into care shouldn’t mean a
smaller life.
It should mean a safer, warmer, more supported
life - with opportunity, humour, comfort, and purpose woven through
every day.
And that happens because of people like you: leaders with heart.
A rich life isn’t measured in tasks completed or charts
updated.
It’s measured in the way a team feels supported to give
their best.
In residents who feel seen and heard.
In small details, warm smiles, shared stories, gentle reassurance, and a home where every person’s identity is respected.
As a Senior Care Assistant at Bramble Down, you’ll do more than lead the team - you’ll help shape the culture that makes meaningful days possible.
What you’ll do:
You’ll be a calm, confident presence - not just completing care, but elevating it.
- Lead and inspire a team of care assistants with empathy, clarity, and confidence.
Your leadership will help others deliver care that feels personal, thoughtful, and kind.
- Champion dignity, compassion, and respect in every interaction - modelling the behaviour you want to see.
- Build deep, trusting relationships with residents, learning what makes them feel happy, safe, and truly at home.
- Work closely with families, health professionals, and the wider team, ensuring care is coordinated, responsive, and genuinely centred on each individual.
- Keep care plans meaningful and accurate, updating electronic records and risk assessments so they reflect real lives and changing needs.
Use the eMAR system to administer medication safely and confidently, always putting wellbeing first.
- Take responsibility for safety and safeguarding within the home - supporting residents, staff, and visitors to feel protected and reassured.
- Remain deeply involved in daytoday care, from personal support to emotional presence, ensuring every resident feels valued and understood.
Because leadership here isn’t about standing back - it’s about standing with people.
Who you are:
You’re someone who leads not just with skill, but with heart.
- An experienced care assistant or senior who knows what exceptional care feels like.
- Calm under pressure, warm with people, and grounded in empathy.
- Passionate about meaningful care, not boxticking or rushing through tasks.
- NVQ Level 3 (or working towards it) - even better.
- Someone who believes that every shift is a chance to help a person live their rich life.
We begin with one question: “What does a rich life look like to you?” For residents, for families, and for our teams.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll play a key role in bringing that promise to life - shaping a home where people feel known, valued, and surrounded by possibilities, no matter their health needs.
Because leadership isn’t only about responsibility.
It’s about making life feel bigger, brighter, and more human
for everyone in your care.
Our CARE values (Committed. Ambitious. Responsible. Embracing) are not just words. They shape how we treat residents, families, and each other. You’ll be part of a team that supports one another, celebrates small victories, and takes pride in making a real difference.
What we offer:
- A role where you’ll see the difference you make every single day.
- Fully paid training plus excellent opportunities to grow and progress.
- A caring induction with your own mentor to help you settle in confidently.
- Free DBS check and auto-enrolment into our pension scheme.
- Flex Earn - see and access your earned wages before payday.
- Eligibility for the Blue Light Card, giving you discounts across shops, restaurants and more.
- Free meals when you’re working long shifts.
- Access to a Peninsula Care Homes Mental Health First Aider, an external confidential helpline for you and your family, the ‘Whycare?’ app, and a Refer a Friend scheme (earning you money for bringing your friends on board)
This isn’t care as usual. It’s care with heart. Care with purpose. Care that enriches life - every single day.
If you’re kind, thoughtful, and want to be part of something special, we would love to hear from you. To find out more about joining our team, please contact:
