Job summary
Littleborough Home is a warm, person-centred care home dedicated to enriching the lives of our residents. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Carer to join our team and help lead the delivery of exceptional care every day.
The role
As a Senior Carer at Littleborough Home, you will provide high-quality personal care to residents while supporting and guiding a team of care assistants. You will work closely with nurses, management, and families to ensure each resident's needs are met with dignity and respect.
- Lead and supervise care staff during your shift
- Develop, review, and update individual care plans
- Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, and mobility support
- Administer medication in line with training and policy
- Monitor residents' health and report changes to nursing staff
- Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and colleagues
- Maintain accurate care records and documentation
- Support new staff with induction and on-the-job trainin
Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a care setting
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
- Experience or confidence in leading a team
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for providing person-centred care
- Enhanced DBS check (we will support this if needed)
