About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Housekeepinge Assistant to assist in the daily cleaning of the Home to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment, giving our resident a prompt and courteous service at all times. Working alongside our catering and care teams, you’ll help create a safe, engaging and comfortable environment where residents can thrive.

What you'll do

  • Carry out high-quality cleaning across all areas, including bedrooms, communal spaces, bathrooms, offices, corridors, windows, and fixtures.
  • Follow agreed cleaning procedures and hygiene standards to prevent cross-infection and maintain a safe environment.
  • Use cleaning equipment safely and correctly, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
  • Take responsibility for Health & Safety and COSHH compliance, reporting hazards, accidents, or concerns without delay.
  • Work effectively to schedules and time limits, supporting colleagues, attending training/meetings, and reporting any resident concerns to care or nursing staff.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Good general education.
  • Basic Food Awareness Certificate or NVQ level 2 is desirable (or willingness to work towards it).
  • In good general health to meet the requirements of the role.
  • Empathy with older people
