Senior Care Practitioner. Longridge Hall Care Home

  • Hourly Rate: £15.03 per hour 
  • Hours: 38.5 hours per week (3-4 shifts per week on a rolling rota)
  • Shift Pattern: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm

We are now seeking an experienced Senior Care Practitioner to join our dedicated team on days. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong leadership abilities, excellent care standards, and a genuine passion for supporting others.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide high-quality, person?centred care that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Deliver personal care, emotional support, and companionship to residents.
  • Administer medication safely and in line with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, supervise, and support care staff to ensure consistent high standards.
  • Assist with staff development, including mentoring and supporting new team members.
  • Ensure compliance with care plans, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Contribute to care planning and complete accurate risk assessments.
  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation and record?keeping.
  • Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
  • Support daily operations and assist the Home Manager as required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, relatives, and visitors.
  • Promote best practice in infection control, health and safety, and quality assurance.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a senior care role within a residential or nursing home.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or willingness to work towards it.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • A compassionate, professional, and person?centred approach.
  • Flexibility to work a rolling rota, including alternate weekends.
