Unit Manager Contract
- £16.65 per hour
- Contracted to 44 hours per week
- Paid PVG, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview
As Unit Manager, you will play a key role in leading and
developing your team while ensuring high quality, person centred care
is delivered consistently across your unit. This role carries
responsibility for the day to day operational management of the unit,
maintaining standards and supporting a safe, well organised and
positive environment.
You will oversee the delivery of care, ensuring it is aligned to
individual care plans, best practice and regulatory requirements. This
includes supporting the team, monitoring residents’ wellbeing,
overseeing medication processes and responding effectively to any
changes in condition, ensuring care remains safe and responsive.
You will also take responsibility for maintaining accurate
documentation, including care plans, risk assessments and daily
records. Working closely with the Home Manager, colleagues, families
and healthcare professionals, you will support clear communication,
accountability and continuous improvement across the service.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Medication administration training with competency
- Previous experience leading or managing a care team
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
- A proactive and accountable approach to care delivery
- A caring, compassionate and professional attitude
