Job summary
Windmill Lodge Care Home is a modern, purpose built 205 bed care home in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, delivering high quality residential, nursing, dementia and respite care within a warm, supportive and person centred environment.
Activities Lead Contract
- £13.71 per hour
- Contracted to 40 hours per week
- Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview
As Activities Lead, you will take responsibility for developing
and delivering a high quality, engaging and person centred activities
programme. The role plays a key part in enhancing wellbeing, promoting
independence and creating a positive, stimulating environment.
You will plan and lead both group and one to one activities,
tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs, including
those living with dementia. Building strong relationships will enable
you to deliver meaningful and inclusive activities that encourage
participation and social interaction.
Working closely with the Home Manager and wider team, you will
ensure activities are well organised, consistent and aligned with
individual care plans. You will also maintain accurate records and
continuously review and improve the programme to ensure it remains
engaging and effective. The successful candidate will be required to
work alternate weekends.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in an Activities Coordinator or similar role is essential
- Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging activities and events
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Confident, creative and proactive approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia
