Job summary

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our new team. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to residents in our care home, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills within the care sector.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Supporting individuals with their care plans tailored to their specific needs
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
  • Assisting with medication management in accordance with care plans
  • Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in their condition
  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ensuring a safe, warm and clean environment for residents at all times
  • Ensuring very high standards of care and dignity at all times in a person centred environment at all times
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times

Experience

  • Previous experience working within a care home is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including days, nights and weekends if required

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Preferable some experience in working in the care homes
