Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at our brand new care home in Wotton-under-Edge. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals in a care setting. This position requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through personalised support and assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
• Follow care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations while providing care.

Skills

• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
• Experience or knowledge of care home environments and home care practices is advantageous.
• Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and communicating within the team.
• Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.

Shift times are 08:00 - 20:00 for Days and 20:00 - 08:00 for nights.

Successful candidates will be subject to two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check.
