Job summary
Oak Lodge Care Home is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Care Activities Coordinator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering meaningful activities that promote the physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing of our residents. You will support residents to maintain independence, dignity and quality of life through person-centred care and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to person-centred assessment, care planning, implementation and review.
- Plan, organise and deliver a varied programme of individual and group activities tailored to residents’ interests, abilities and needs.
- Support residents, including those living with dementia, to participate in meaningful activities that promote independence, inclusion and wellbeing.
- Assist residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily living activities where required.
- Support residents attending outings and community-based activities.
- Observe, monitor and accurately record residents’ wellbeing, participation and changing needs.
- Work collaboratively with residents, families and colleagues to ensure high standards of care and activity provision.
- Maintain a safe, respectful and person-centred environment at all times.

- Essential Skills: Caring and compassionate approach. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good organisational and record-keeping skills. Understanding of person-centred care and dementia care.
