Job summary
Inglewood Nursing Home, located in a pleasant residential area of Eastbourne, provides short and long-term nursing and palliative care for up to 60 residents. Set in charming period-style accommodation with modern facilities, the home offers bright, comfortable rooms with garden views, wheelchair access, and a warm, supportive environment where personalised care and strong relationships with residents and families are prioritised.
At our home, you’ll be a key person responsible in helping us achieve an excellent standard of care to our residents You’ll be an integral part of our care team to promote the values and ethos of our home.
As a Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in our close-knit care team, ensuring our residents receive exceptional care and support. You’ll help them with their daily routines, promote independence, and ensure their overall health and happiness are prioritised every day.

What You’ll Do:
Empower Independence: Assist residents with their
daily routines, from getting dressed to staying active, while
encouraging them to make positive choices and remain as independent as possible.
Personalised Care: Follow and support each resident’s
personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful
attention to their individual needs.
Health and Wellbeing: Keep a close eye on residents’
health, communicating any concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy
Manager, and helping with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
Champion Dignity: Uphold the dignity and respect of
each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
Social Support: Encourage social interactions among
residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
Safety and Comfort: Work with housekeepers to
maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond
quickly to emergencies or call bells.
Nutritional Support: Assist residents who need extra
help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
