Job summary

Woodford House has been established as a care home for over 20 years. It has accommodation for 40 persons of mixed sex over the age of 50 years. 

Perton Manor is a single storey, purpose-built specialist care home within 4 ½ acres of land, with vast communal space.  We hold registration for 50 clients (male/female 45yrs +) caring for people with dementia, sensory disorders, physical disabilities, complex mental health needs and nursing requirements.

Please note: We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.

The successful candidate may be based at either Perton Manor or Woodford House.

The job responsibilities of a care practitioner includes:

Working as a member of the care team, providing high standards of specialist mental health care to Service Users and their relatives.  Assist qualified and senior staff in the care of all Service Users within the limits of their capabilities, and at the discretion of the nurse in charge.  To assist qualified staff in the holistic care, supervision, and rehabilitation of the Service Users, both physically and psychologically.

All care to the Service Users will be performed with discretion and compassion. Permanent employees will be required to work rotational duties over a seven-day period including weekends.

We provide extensive training courses and there are numerous career development opportunities. Some of our care staff have worked their way up to become Home Managers or members of Senior Management.
