We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Wellbeing Assistant to join our team and help enrich the lives of our residents.

The Role

As a Wellbeing Assistant, you will plan, organise, and deliver a varied programme of activities that promote residents' physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. You will encourage participation, support individual interests, and create opportunities for residents to remain active, engaged, and connected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver a diverse programme of daily activities and events.
  • Organise group activities, one-to-one sessions, and special celebrations.
  • Encourage residents to participate according to their interests and abilities.
  • Arrange outings, entertainment, and visits from community groups and performers.
  • Support residents in maintaining hobbies and trying new experiences.
  • Work closely with residents and families to understand individual preferences and life histories.
  • Maintain activity plans, records, and photographs of events where appropriate.
  • Promote a positive and stimulating environment throughout the home.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure activities are person-centred and inclusive.

  • Previous experience in activities, care, or a similar role is desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
