We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Manager to lead our care team, maintain high standards of care, and ensure our residents receive the very best support every day.
The Role
As Care Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality care throughout the home, supporting and developing the care team, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. You will work closely with the Home Manager to create a positive culture focused on dignity, respect, and excellence in care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support the care team to deliver exceptional person-centred care.
- Ensure all residents' care plans and risk assessments are accurate, up to date, and regularly reviewed.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of care and clinical practice throughout the home.
- Support the recruitment, induction, training, and development of care staff.
- Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals, and competency assessments.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Promote a positive and supportive working environment and lead by example.
- Liaise effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Manage incidents, concerns, and complaints appropriately and professionally.
- Assist with audits, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the home and deputise in their absence where required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a senior care or management role within a residential or nursing care setting.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of person-centred care and safeguarding practices.
- A good understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver outstanding care.
- A compassionate, professional, and resident-focused approach.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care as a minimum, with Level 5 qualification desirable or willingness to work towards it.
