Job Summary
Our residential care home setting, is warming, kind and caring place to work within a team.
We work 7am to 7pm, 7am to 1pm, 1pm to 7pm.
To assist residents who need help with dressing, undressing, bathing and the toilet. Ensure the Service Users have given their consent prior to any examination, care, treatment or support taking place and that all Service Users are treated with respect.
To help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities including incontinence, and to help in the use of and care of aids and personal equipment
To care for residents temporarily sick and needing, for example, minor dressings, bed nursing etc
To help care for residents who are dying.
To help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents through talking to them, taking them out, sharing with them in activities such as reading, writing, hobbies and recreations.
To make and change beds; tidy rooms and do light cleaning; empty commodes.
To inspect, launder and mend residents' clothing.
To set up tables and trays, serve meals, feed residents who need help, prepare light meals and wash up, and tidy and clear the dining room.
To answer call bells, the door and the telephone, and welcome visitors.
To read and write reports, ensuring records are accurate and kept safe and confidential, take part in staff and residents' meetings and training activities as directed.
To conduct all procedures within the home with due regard to the food hygiene and health and safety legislation and infection control requirements.
