A care support worker has been appointed at Belong Macclesfield, to support the village’s increasingly popular experience days. Sue Fielding, from Poynton, will be on hand to provide extra support to members of the community who are looking for a refreshing and flexible day care service, taking advantage of the village’s luxury facilities.
Sue, who has worked in community care for two years, will be supporting guests to enjoy a variety of planned activities, such as film afternoons, poetry, knitting, and even tenpin bowling. Experience day guests will also have chance to take advantage of the facilities in the village’s vibrant centre, whether it be to tantalise their taste buds in the bistro, to pamper themselves in the hair salon, or to work out with specialist fitness instructor, Barbara Tait, in the exercise studio.
Sue is delighted with how much guests have enjoyed the experience days so far, and said: “I really enjoy being able to assist with the experience days, and helping to create new friendships between residents and the local community is really rewarding. We have a lot of fun and the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed.”
Janine Curwell, General Manager at Belong Macclesfield, is delighted to have Sue supporting the village activities. She said: “With increasing demand for our experience days, it is great that Sue has joined the team to help with the co-ordination of the events and activities on offer at the village. Experience days have proven very popular and both guests and residents have a wonderful time socialising and participating in new activities.”
