Local MP Chris Ruane recently took the time to meet with residents and staff at Preswylfa Care Home in Rhyl.
Residents, relatives and staff were delighted to speak to Mr Ruane, who was born in the Vale of Clwyd. The MP spent time chatting with members of the home’s community and heard first hand from Alan Beeton, a family member of a Preswylfa resident, about how happy he was with the care provided by the dedicated staff at the home.
During the visit, Mr Ruane presented the staff with a certificate to celebrate gaining the 500th recommendation on CareHome.co.uk by an Embrace home, the parent company of Preswylfa. The home secured recommendation number 500 on the site, earning them the commemorative framed certificate.
Mr Ruane enjoyed reading the recommendations that others had written about the home and he commented that Preswylfa radiated a wonderful, friendly atmosphere.
Glynis McKean, manager at Preswylfa, said:
“It is very important for our home to be a part of the local community. Getting to spend time with our local MP was a great way to engage and we thank Mr Ruane very much for his time! It was a delight to welcome him for a visit.”
