My mother Shirley was a resident at Preswylfa for over a year and in all that time we found both the facilities and the staff to be first class we found that staff from all departments were excellent, kind, caring and often going above and beyond to look after residents, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Preswylfa

Since m-I-law came here almost a year ago she has been well looked after by management and staff. Food is good. She needs medical care through the night.Activities make a big difference well done to all staff. Highly recommend this care home.

I have stayed at several homes, Preswylfa is by far the best. Staff are very kind and officiant and are made to feel welcome. Nothing is to much trouble for anyone. For any one considering this home to retire in, I can thoroughly recommend this home.

My mum is really settling in and is on end of life the staff are really good and caring and the manager is always involved with her care. They have took a lot of stress off me and my sister and we can relax a bit more knowing she is in good hands

My uncle has only been in Preswylfa nursing home a month he was previously in residential care and didn't want to leave his previous home but had to after a nursing assessment, Romana the clinical lead was fantastic keeping me informed regarding his acceptance and moving in date, the staff at Preswylfa have made him feel very welcome the standard of care is very very good, he always looks tidy and well presented and looked after. The food looks excellent and my uncle really enjoys the food he likes sitting in the upstairs dining room looking out of the window, he has settled in very well and we have been out a few times to the beach across the road and to town in his wheelchair

This has truly become a home for my Gran, she sees it as her own and I cannot thank you enough for this, it is credit to you all for creating such a safe environment for all of the residents.

Started a rocky start, but getting better, still worry when in work and unable to visit Mum. Position and catheter is a worry and not having regular pad care and washes. Leading nurse is doing her best for this to be done, but weekends and after 5 o'clock things slack. Staff can't do enough for us but just these little things need sorting.

Dad is comfortable, and happy. This means everything to the family. A daunting transition has been achieved with positive outcomes for all.

We are so happy with all the care and support that we are receiving from Preswylfa nursing home - my father in law is at end of life and has been treated with so much care and dignity from all the staff it's lovely to see him settled - The manager is always on hand to talk, nothing is too much for her and she is such a breath of fresh air - dealing with end of life is very difficult at best for families, and so it's so nice to see her every time we go in it really lifts our spirits - we would recommend this nursing home in our opinion it's lovely, the building, rooms and all staff

We've recently changed our Dads home and we can't be happier, what a lovely homely warm environment for the residents! All staff members are lovely, kind and very welcoming when we visit. Our father isn't great at socialising but the team have brought him out of his comfort zone so we are over the moon. The management team are so professional and understanding towards us and the residents. We couldn't be happier with the standard of Preswylfa, it's always very clean, clutter free and very well presented. A huge thanks from us all.

The staff are caring, pleasant and helpful. They ask me about my husband's hobbies, likes and dislikes. They give me information about his health and medication, also how they deal with it. (My husband is in regular pain)

I want to say a massive thankyou to all the staff who looked after my brother , you are all amazing. The care and attention given to him for the remainder of his life was fantastic and I would highly recommend Preswylfa, staff are attentive and always smiling , nothing too much trouble at all . I have a special Thankyou to two members of staff in particular who were my brother's favourites. Again thankyou .

I find the staff excellent. Hard-working, caring and understanding. The room my husband is in is rather small, but they are probably all the same, more or less. It would be improved with fresh paint on the wall from the door to the bathroom. Also, the carpet is grubby. The staff say it is harder pushing wheelchairs etc. on the carpet than it would be if the floor was laminate for example. However, taken as a whole, I think the home is very good.

Value for money- Quality of food and lack of regular activities are letting the home down. Do activities have enough budget and input?

My mother is overall happy at Preswylfa. She is safe and looked after well. She feels that the food selection is good and has no complaints.

Excellent staff and very professional and caring, even if understaffed, they show to try their best. I am happy with my friend's care and will miss all of you.

Very well run and staff are polite and friendly.

My stepfather wasn't coping at home, so came into the care home. The staff here are very friendly and professional, the environment is light and airy. The activities team have brought him out of his shell, he is more social now, he's able to get his hair cut and a chiropodist attends. He has chosen to use his own bedding and bring a couple of things from home. He gets his meals cooked, he's not always happy with them, as he is a fussy eater, but the staff try to offer something else. They have regular entertainment and theme days. He is very happy here.

We would not hesitate in recommending this home to anyone. All the staff are very helpful. There are plenty of activities for the residents to take part in, regular entertainment in the form of films and singers.
