This has truly become a home for my Gran, she sees it as her own and I cannot thank you enough for this, it is credit to you all for creating such a safe environment for all of the residents.
Started a rocky start, but getting better, still worry when in work and unable to visit Mum. Position and catheter is a worry and not having regular pad care and washes. Leading nurse is doing her best for this to be done, but weekends and after 5 o'clock things slack. Staff can't do enough for us but just these little things need sorting.
Thank you for your review and valuable feedback, this will be shared with our team to investigate further. Your positive words about our team will be shared with all our Colleagues.
Dad is comfortable, and happy. This means everything to the family. A daunting transition has been achieved with positive outcomes for all.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, your wonderful 5-star feedback will be shared with all our team at Preswylfa.
We are so happy with all the care and support that we are receiving from Preswylfa nursing home - my father in law is at end of life and has been treated with so much care and dignity from all the staff it's lovely to see him settled - The manager is always on hand to talk, nothing is too much for her and she is such a breath of fresh air - dealing with end of life is very difficult at best for families, and so it's so nice to see her every time we go in it really lifts our spirits - we would recommend this nursing home in our opinion it's lovely, the building, rooms and all staff
Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review at this difficult time, your kind words and feedback will be passed to all our Preswylfa team.
We've recently changed our Dads home and we can't be happier, what a lovely homely warm environment for the residents! All staff members are lovely, kind and very welcoming when we visit. Our father isn't great at socialising but the team have brought him out of his comfort zone so we are over the moon. The management team are so professional and understanding towards us and the residents. We couldn't be happier with the standard of Preswylfa, it's always very clean, clutter free and very well presented. A huge thanks from us all.
Good
Thank you for your review - your fantastic scores are very important to us and will be shared with all our team.
The staff are caring, pleasant and helpful. They ask me about my husband's hobbies, likes and dislikes. They give me information about his health and medication, also how they deal with it. (My husband is in regular pain)
Thank you for taking the time to review Preswylfa Care Home , your lovely comments and feedback will be passed to all our team.
I want to say a massive thankyou to all the staff who looked after my brother , you are all amazing. The care and attention given to him for the remainder of his life was fantastic and I would highly recommend Preswylfa, staff are attentive and always smiling , nothing too much trouble at all . I have a special Thankyou to two members of staff in particular who were my brother's favourites. Again thankyou .
Thank you for your lovely review of Preswylfa and our care team - your kind words will be shared with all the team.
I find the staff excellent. Hard-working, caring and understanding. The room my husband is in is rather small, but they are probably all the same, more or less. It would be improved with fresh paint on the wall from the door to the bathroom. Also, the carpet is grubby. The staff say it is harder pushing wheelchairs etc. on the carpet than it would be if the floor was laminate for example. However, taken as a whole, I think the home is very good.
Thank you for your review and lovely comments about our Preswylfa team, I will be passing your feedback on regarding paint and carpet to our Estates team to see if this is something we can look at for you.
Activities- Two members of staff work really hard but not many residents take part. There isn't an activity every day. Suggest a singer/magician/dancer etc. for a change.
Value for money- Quality of food and lack of regular activities are letting the home down. Do activities have enough budget and input?
Thank you for sharing your review with us and your fantastic scores concerning care and cleanliness of Preswylfa. Your feedback is very appreciated and a great opportunity for us to look to improve our home, these will be passed to the relevant teams regarding food and activities.
My mother is overall happy at Preswylfa. She is safe and looked after well. She feels that the food selection is good and has no complaints.

Excellent staff and very professional and caring, even if understaffed, they show to try their best. I am happy with my friend's care and will miss all of you.
Thank you for your review your lovely comments will be passed to the team.
Very well run and staff are polite and friendly.
Thank you for your lovely review and kind words about our home and team, we will share your feedback with all our team
My stepfather wasn't coping at home, so came into the care home. The staff here are very friendly and professional, the environment is light and airy. The activities team have brought him out of his shell, he is more social now, he's able to get his hair cut and a chiropodist attends. He has chosen to use his own bedding and bring a couple of things from home. He gets his meals cooked, he's not always happy with them, as he is a fussy eater, but the staff try to offer something else. They have regular entertainment and theme days. He is very happy here.
Thank you for your lovely review and kind words, your feedback will be passed on to our team.
We would not hesitate in recommending this home to anyone. All the staff are very helpful. There are plenty of activities for the residents to take part in, regular entertainment in the form of films and singers.
Excellent. Good to know my mum is in a good care home.
Good Afternoon Phillip, Thank you for leaving a lovely review regarding Preswylfa, it is very much appreciated.
Before the lockdown, I visited my mum nearly every day - I could see how well she was and the first-class treatment that she (and all the other residents) were having. I was always met with friendliness, and they would kindly give me a drink of tea. I was also encouraged to take part whether it be jigsaws, craft, quizzes or just watching the TV. There was a sense of community, and that made everything light-hearted. The marks reflect the high-standard both pre lockdown and during covid-19 outside visiting.
What a beautiful home! Amazing staff, they could not try any harder for my mother. Nothing is too much effort, a home from home care home, it’s no bother us taking her out for meals or us bringing in a take away. We feel we have got our mum back. The home always smells fresh, not like the stigma that care homes smell of urine. Amazing! Thank you to all in Preswylfa; nurses, managers, care staff, cleaners and cooks. Thank you for helping me get my mum back.
My great Uncle spent the last couple of months here before he sadly passed away yesterday. There were many issues that needed ironing out but they are not as pressing as yesterday when I went to collect his personal belongings at 4pm as arranged and walked straight into the unlocked room where he still was, uncovered. It was devastating and not one member of staff spoke to us as we left. Total disregard for any loss.
My mother is well cared for, the staff treat her as if she was family. The room is decorated to her choice with her pictures. The menu is amazing and the kitchen team cater to her needs. I was nervous about the care home experience but all I can say is amazing things about Preswylfa.
