Crofton Court Residential Care Home

from G M (Son of Resident) published on 30 January 2026
Submitted via Postal Card • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother has been a resident at Crofton Court for approximately 9 months and in that time I have nothing but praise for the entire staff who conduct themselves with the utmost professionalism, but still find the time to interact socially with the residents and visitors alike. Nothing is too much trouble
for them. My mother not only enjoys being looked after but also the social side of things such as craft workshops, bingo, exercise classes, all of which she participates in. In summary, a real home-from-home feel. Well done, Crofton Court.

Piper Court

from S S (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 January 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My father was recently transferred to Piper Court on a palliative care pathway.
His stay at the home was very short, he was reluctant to go and I was unsure that his end of life needs would be met.
The staff at the home cared for him so well, showing such compassion and concern. They communicated
well with me and appeared to get to know my dad very quickly.
During his final hours they were supportive to me and helped to make sure he was never alone. The care assistant who was looking after him was utterly fabulous.
It has been such a source of comfort to me that his last few days were as good as they could have been and his needs were certainly met.
Thank you to all the staff involved in my Dads care

Moorfield House

from S P (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 January 2026

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mother has been in Moorfield for 10 months.
She has many issues, particularly regarding health issues.
She refuses to take medication despite encouragement from staff and family,
This has resulted in many problems which the staff have dealt with cheerfully and professionally,
In addition the
chef + kitchen staff have tried to meet her varying menu requirements.

The staff all understand my mum and her care needs, they are friendly and respect her as an individual. She is safe and well cared for and has managed to articulate this herself to outside agencies. The manager is always happy to talk over any concerns and acts upon them quickly and professionally.
The activities co-ordinator works hard to provide activities that have something for everyone, even those who don't want to join in with a group. Thank you all for caring.

My Dad moved in in October 2025. We had our reservations about this at first but shouldn't have worried. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. My dad was treated in a person centred way and the staff showed interest, empathy, and care and treated him with respect and dignity at all themes.

I

cannot thank the staff enough - Jackie, Julie and Jill to name a few. Not only did they treat my dad with dignity and respect in his last days but also became a shoulder to cry on for my mum. My mum said that she now classes the carers there, as her friends.

I would not of wanted my dad to be anywhere else

I found all the staff very caring and very helpful at all times. I have no worries and will certainly use Red Brick House again in the next 2/3 months. All the staff treated me with respect which made me feel confident my husband was being cared for in a very safe caring environment.

Mum is very well cared for. She is generally well presented and all staff treat her with a friendly, caring manner. When there is an issue I am contacted and consulted about the best approach to be taken as necessary. The staff go above and beyond to offer a happy and joyful approach to Christmas with
an early Christmas dinner with family and Christmas tea party with entertainment. My only concern is the lack of appropriate day to day activity for my mum who has limited vision and lack of mobility- word searches and crafts are inappropriate for her.

Prince's Court was outstanding, following my surgery. I have so much admiration for the staff as they work so hard. They all have a professional manner. The physio treatment was Mon-Fri and was superb. If you want to help yourself, they go above and beyond. My elderly mother was in a care home and unfortunately
no longer with us. I wish I had known about Prince's Court for her.

Mum was discharged to Seale Pastures after a few weeks in hospital as she had been neglecting to care for herself due to her dementia. It was a confusing time but the staff were wonderful, very caring and helped her to settle in really quickly. There was always activities to engage with and the staff
took time to chat with the residents and make them feel at home. They encouraged her to shower, get her hair done and change her clothes and she did put on a little weight, she was much calmer and contented after just a few days. The home is clean and warm and she had a nice room with its own WC. The food was good (we attended a family Xmas dinner, which was a lovely occasion). There were plenty of drinks and snacks between meals too. Staff always answered my questions as to how she was and what she had been doing and rang me if there were any issues. I was very happy with the care Mum received and my only reason for moving her was due to the distance I had to travel to visit.

We've recently changed our Dads home and we can't be happier, what a lovely homely warm environment for the residents! All staff members are lovely, kind and very welcoming when we visit. Our father isn't great at socialising but the team have brought him out of his comfort zone so we are over the moon.
The management team are so professional and understanding towards us and the residents. We couldn't be happier with the standard of Preswylfa, it's always very clean, clutter free and very well presented. A huge thanks from us all.
