Cartref y Borth Care Home

My mother seems to be well looked after. She has a nice room with wonderful views. She seems to enjoy sitting in the lounge with the other residents and having conversations about old times. The care staff appear very attentive and update me with any changes or developments. My mother gets to sit outside and go out for tea + cake in good weather which I think she really enjoys.

My father has been looked after very well in Cartref y Borth. The environment and setting is superb, which has been really important to us to keep that connection with Llanrwst. But more importantly than this has been the staff care, support and compassion shown to him over the last year. Diolch

Very happy with staff, they are all very helpful and caring. The home is very warm and welcoming with all the staff knowing their jobs. Food is plentiful with drinks regularly throughout the day. I am happy with the feedback I get from the staff regarding my mum.

My relatives room is always well heated and not cluttered. Music is often playing and my relative likes to hum along to that. The care staff are very good and are able to encourage laughter and light heartedness and that is nice to hear & see. There is always a drink on the table when I visit. It is nice to be able to trust that the care given is of a high standard.

I'm aware that there is a weekly timetable of activities for the residents and that local schoolchildren will also come to sing to them on occasion. The home is situated in a tranquil setting yet just a five minute walk away from the town square.

There are care homes closer to the family, but I doubt that they would be as pleasant and comfortable as Cartref y Borth.

My overall view of Cartref y Borth Care Home is mostly satisfactory, considering the workload on their staff and availability. Staff care is excellent under their circumstances. Activities could be improved, but once again, I understand how difficult it can be with limited resources.

All I can say is all good. All staff is very good. Have lovely food there. Very friendly staff. Lovely and clean and the bedroom. Thank you.

I visit from time to time. It looks a very comfortable home. I have not experienced any activities. The staff are very welcoming.

Beautiful home kept very clean and tidy, staff all friendly, helpful and compassionate. Attention to detail is paramount wouldn't want my nan anywhere else. Always a calm and inviting atmosphere, Nan is happy so we are happy.

The staff are friendly and the building is clean and warm.

My mother has been a resident of Cartref y Borth Nursing Home for over 4 months now and I am very pleased with the care provided by staff and management, they are all so friendly, kind, and caring, which gives me peace of mind. My mother's health has improved during her stay and she has regained some of the weight she lost. Communication is very good and I am kept informed.

My mother has settled well in Catref Y Borth. It is reassuring to know that she is cared for so well by the friendly and professional staff at all levels. I receive regular telephone updates and am included in clinical reviews and decision-making.

I’m grateful for the care my Mother is given at Cartref Y Borth. The staff gives us feedback on her routines and keeps us informed of any of her medical/behavioral changes. Mam’s health, including her eating habits, has improved since she moved to Cartref Y Borth, it is her safe and happy place.

My mother is well looked after and seems very happy. I feel that she is very safe in Cartref y Borth Nursing Home and seems to be eating well. I am very happy with the care they provide.

My sister was very well cared for during her stay at Cartref Y Borth, when she became very poorly she received the upmost loving care in a very dignified manner until the very end. It was a great comfort to our family to know she was looked after in such a loving and caring way by all staff and the manager.

As a family, we are extremely happy that the management and staff have succeeded in offering a secure and happy environment in these difficult and challenging times. The regular staff are highly professional, caring and competent. Sadly the excellent activities coordinator has not been replaced.

My mother has been in Cartref-y-Borth for 2 years. She has received excellent care. I have been extremely grateful to the care team during Covid. They have worked very hard to keep their residents safe. My mother always states that the staff have been very good. Visiting has been very limited understandably, but they are facilitated with residents' safety in mind. Thank you for all your hard work during an extremely difficult year.

During last year I haven't been to see mum very often, when I did she seemed happy and content. She would certainly show her feelings if she had any issues with the home. Every time I've phoned to know how she is the staff have been polite and helpful.

There is a friendly atmosphere in the home. All the residents seem happy in their environment.
