Cartref y Borth Care Home

My mother is very well looked after at Cartref Y Borth. Both her physical wellbeing and her mental health have improved to a great extent since becoming a resident. The staff are friendly and caring and the food is great. Mum has an excellent view from her room but prefers to stay downstairs with the other residents during the day.

My mum seems very settled, she suffers from dementia so being with residents she knows is also a big help. She enjoys the food and the staff have gone out of their way to make sure she is happy and content.

My grandmother has not been here long but she is happy. Staff are lovely.

I am really happy and no issues. Cartref y Borth feels like my home. Staff very good and caring.

Accommodated outside visiting during the summer after lockdown. Good set up with marquees. Staff always friendly and helpful. Put my grandmother's needs first and accommodate hers and our wishes. We look forward to a time when we can visit again!

I would just like to say that since the new manager has been installed things seem settled and calm, even in these uncertain times. The staff are friendly, caring and relaxed while still being professional, which makes for a lovely atmosphere. It has been very difficult not being able to visit my mum but the manager and her staff have been great helping her with FaceTime calls and I know she is being well looked after and is happy. I can highly recommend Cartref v Borth.

This was the first time my mother has been in respite care and I was very worried about how she would take to it as she has advanced Dementia. I was reassured upon meeting the staff as they were all so friendly, pleasant and professional. This was proven by how much mum enjoyed her stay and indeed it was difficult to get her out of the door to go home. She is now full of happy stories and memories and says she would go back tomorrow which bodes well for future respite breaks. I will feel happy taking her again due to the genuinely caring people there.

My stepmother has been in Cartref y Borth Nursing Home for three years now and she continues to receive excellent care. The carers all go above and beyond to make sure that all the residents are happy and comfortable. Cartref y Borth is an excellent care home and my thanks go to the management and all the staff there.
