Overall Experience
My dad has been a resident here since January 2026 and from that very first day, my dad, myself and my brother knew he was in good hands. I have nothing but praise and admiration for all of the staff here. There is a very warm and welcoming environment throughout and the care itself is faultless.
My dad is now on end of life care so we are here everyday so we see and hear a lot and see different staff at different times. I can honestly say, all staff are absolutely amazing at all times, fully respecting his dignity and needs. The care, attention and support my dad receives is second to none. They are all also so supportive to us as family, keeping is fully informed and checking in on us too.

It is natural to be apprehensive when a member of your close family needs to be cared for in a care /nursing home, but, I cannot recommend Wheatfield Court enough. The staff and their care took away any worries and misconceptions I had of such facilities. Thank you so much everyone.

My Mum was resident in Wheatfield Court for the last 3 months of her life, the care she received was outstanding. The dedication and compassion demonstrated by staff was beyond words. There is no doubt that being in a care home is not the same as being in someone's own home - however, the care Mum received was person centred and individual to her needs. As a family we could not be more thankful that Mums final days were here.
Despite being nursed in bed a lot of the time due to her health needs, staff encouraged and supported her to spend some time in the garden, an experience she truly enjoyed.

Thank you all for your care and support.

Thank you for your heartfelt feedback. We're truly honoured to have cared for your mum and to have supported her with such compassion and dignity. It means so much that she could enjoy moments like the garden. Your kind words are deeply appreciated by our entire Wheatfield Court team.

For someone like me who has always been independant I did not expect this to be such a perfect place. It really feels like home, and I couldn't be happier to be here. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is good, and I am very happy to be here.

Finding out our Brother in law had terminal Cancer was soul destroying for us.
We were advised by professionals that palliative care was in Albert's best interest and needs. Wheatfield Court delivered such wonderful care for Albert during his short stay. Care, Compassion, dignity and respect was delivered above and beyond expectations.
I have to commemorate staff for their services and high expectations given.
Well done to all involved.
Without the NHS and the care they deliver we would not have got through this difficult time.
We knew Alby was in good hands and being well looked after. This made life a little easier for family and Albert himself.

Since dad moved into this home on New Year's Eve, we have no complaints about any thing. Carers and nurses can't do enough for dad. His room is very comfortable and kept clean. Management team has been very supportive. I am very happy in knowing that dad is safe and being well looked after.

I came into Wheatfield Court after being in hospital for seven weeks until my house was cleared, as my son had filled it with sports equipment, and it was dangerous to walk around. The crisis team told my son and me to leave it to get sorted out. The hospital put me in Wheatfield Court till it was sorted out. I have been looked after really well. I am still waiting to go home.

The staff and management at Wheatfield Court are caring and respectful towards the residents at all times. They work hard to maintain a very positive atmosphere and are always helpful. There is a broad range of social activities. The fact that visiting hours are not restricted is a big help for family who finish work later in the evening.

I am impressed by the combination of nursing skills and kindness of the staff.
It is admirable the way the staff work so well together whether their role is to work as a cleaner, cook, carer or in management.
I appreciate the welcome visitors receive.

The activities which are available to all who appreciate them include physical, mental (programs include quizzes and information and include services and trips out locally and occasionally further a field)

Wheatfield Court has been a blessing in the lives of my mother and I. The staff - all of them are wonderful, particularly those upstairs on Eden. Within a week of my terminally ill Mum being there, the spark of life had come back to her. The pressure of caring was totally taken off my shoulders, and I could go back to being a daughter. Staff are warm, friendly, caring and attend to any needs as quickly as they can.

Her clothes are always beautifully laundered, and she is always dressed in clean clothes and clean nightwear every day. The room is lovely - bright and airy, with decor fitting of a hotel never mind a Nursing Home. Mum has put on weight, had her hair cut, and feet attended too - all of which were sorted extremely quickly. I cannot thank them enough for what they have already done for my mum.

I knew as soon as I entered the home that it had a really nice feel about it - and I am so so happy that my Mam has settled in so well and already calls it home.

Most of my brother's needs are met. The staff work hard to please the residents, i.e. outings, activities, e.t.c. Care and attention, personal care and rooms are very well kept. There is a warm welcoming feeling from the staff, who are very friendly.

Since Mam's arrival at Wheatfield Care Home, the care and attention mam has received has been excellent. All issues that we (her family), have raised, have been quickly resolved. We have found all the staff including the management, to be friendly, professional, approachable and caring. Mam has been treated with respect and dignity. They have built up a relationship with her and her relatives who are kept updated when she's had a "good day".

There are no words to express my gratitude having the privilege to stay at Wheatfield Court, being so cared for by the staff, with consideration so deep as if I had been a much loved relative. En-suite made us confident at all moves privately out of sight of other residents and visitors.

Excellent. I came to Wheatfield following knee surgery. I live alone and would have found it very difficult to manage without the care and support of your excellent team. They were pleasant, kind and very professional and enabled me to get on my feet and get back to my home and society. It is very important we keep this type of facility to enable people like me to become active again.

I came to Wheatfield Court a year ago following a fall which left me with spinal injuries. the care I have received has made the slow recovery of some abilities possible. My room is en suite, has a TV and has wifi. The food is wholesome and there is choice and dietary options.
The staff here are kept up to date and proficient with regular training sessions. We are encouraged to socialise in either of the two lounges - so you can just chat, enjoy the safe and pleasant garden or join in the various activities in the designated lounge. These include arts and crafts. table games and on Sundays in one lounge a broadcast TV service is transmitted.

There are regular outings to places of interest in wheelchair adapted buses. We receive special celebrations and cake on birthdays etc.
