Wheatfield Court Care Home is situated in pleasant surroundings in the Westerhope area of Newcastle. It is within easy reach of the Durham Heritage Coast to the North, and the North Yorkshire coast to the South.

The highly committed and dedicated staff at Wheatfield Court work hard to deliver a caring and compassionate service, with a family-orientated approach to their work.

Residents are encouraged to remain physically and mentally active, to the best of their ability and the team works hard to accommodate the needs of all the residents, with a range of activities for them to enjoy in-house. There are also lots of activities available to the residents in the community.

Wheatfield has a wide range of residents, with varying capabilities and needs. Wheatfield Court provides nursing packages that are maintained by an advanced care team for residents with more complex needs. Respite and palliative services are also available.

The staff are very proud of the service they offer and work hard to create respectful relationships and strong bonds with families, visitors and professionals.

I found my time at Eden Court which is part of Wheatfield Court very good. I felt very safe. All the staff were lovely. I would recommend this home to my friends and family.

The care and attention my mother received was excellent right up until her passing away. The care home is kept immaculate. All the staff are very friendly. Myself and family were always welcome and made to feel that way.

The care taken of my mother in law was exemplary. The compassion was shown to me (telephone) and her granddaughter (in a quiet place) was superb. Only sorry her stay would not be longer!

Having stayed at Wheatfield Court for just over one month I found it quite relaxing!
The atmosphere was very friendly also great care taken regarding medication given out.
Both staff and residents merged well together also a good understanding of various needs taken into consideration. Happy atmosphere

My stay at Eden Court was very good. Food good and varied. Staff caring and friendly. My only criticism - not enough staff to cope with the varied tasks they have to perform. Definitely need more!

This Nursing Home is amazing, the care of staff towards the residents is completely outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble. Friendly and welcoming reception. Clean, light and airy. Very clean and always smells fresh. The staff receive very good training and the Manager has an open door policy for
staff and relatives. There is always activities going on either within the Home or trips out to local venues of interest to the Residents. Would highly recommend anyone to view this Home if requiring a Home for their loved one.

I would just like to thank all of the staff here. My uncle has been in their care for 17 months. He went in as end of life. They picked him up persevered with his eating habits which was hard. They all made him part of a family in there. We could always leave after visiting and know he would be fine.
I really cannot thank you, lasses, enough. He passed away on the 5th February 2018.

I found the staff amazing the care my husband received was the best. His needs and wellbeing until he died were just the best I could have hoped for. I can't thank them enough. I went to visit the staff and completed the form, I just had to tell you what a great place it is.

Sadly my Dad was only at Wheatfield Court for two days before he passed away. However the kindness and compassion shown by the team here was fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and their efforts to make my Dad as comfortable and dignified as possible were excellent.


The cleanliness is excellent

as are the facilities.


The way they are with their regular residents is lovely, they have fun, show such care and compassion and are everything you could ask for.
