Hilltop Lodge

My wife has her second respite stay at Hilltop Lodge this month + again really enjoyed her stay. Staff made her feel welcome and she said it was lovely to see their friendly faces again. Enjoys all her meals - "compliments to the chef". Stated that staff are aways respectful and courteous and nothing is too much trouble. Room spacious + spotless. Different activities offered every day.

My sister is in Hilltop Lodge, from the very first time I visited I was so impressed by the staff, their friendlyness toward me and my sister. There always seems to be lot of staff who are so caring. The work these people do day in day out is amazing. Not an easy job I bet. thank-you.

I have nothing but praise for Hilltop Lodge since my mum moved there several months ago. The staff genuinely care about their residents and the facilities are always clean and well maintained with communal areas welcoming and nicely decorated. The management team are both professional and considerate and always there to help with any queries. My mum has flourished due to the many and varied activities and events arranged by a dedicated team who go above and beyond to ensure that residents are stimulated and entertained.

Highly satisfied with the service by staff and management alike, the home is in an ideal location to visit by either car being near the M1 motorway or serviced by a regular bus service locally, a very clean and tidy environment, all staff wonderfully obliging who will go the extra mile to help. Cant praise you enough, thank you Hilltop Lodge.

The nurses Tracey, Diane and Gloria all went above and beyond to make sure my Dad was kept comfortable until he passed away peacefully and for that we will always be so grateful.

My mother has been a resident since Dec 2024 when she moved from a different care home, where she was before she cried all the time and was very withdrawn. I cannot thank everyone at Hilltop Lodhe enough for changing my mum's life. She is like a new woman and can now enjoy her time with me and her grandchildren. The staff obviously know how to care for her & her dementia needs, which I'm sure can be challenging at times. The management are always welcoming and ready to chat at any time, which I appreciate.

My husband has been a resident at Hilltop Lodge for the last 3 months, and I am highly delighted with the care he receives. The staff are wonderful, they show so much kindness and compassion to all the residents. Nothing is too much trouble. The home itself is immaculately clean and tidy. An activities co-ordinator is on-site most days, so there is always something going on to keep the residents stimulated. It has such a nice, friendly atmosphere. Finally, some credit must go to management for choosing the right staff.

Our mother was allocated a place at Hilltop and took up residence in August 2024. Before being admitted to Hilltop Mum was visited by the Management team and built a positive relationship from the start. I had visited 6 care homes within a 6-mile radius before settling on Hilltop and our first impression has proved 100% accurate that this is the best care home by far in the area.

One of the real positives is the flexibility of the team to respond to the individual needs of the resident and have consistently reacted to feedback given by myself and my brother (both regular visitors). The nursing and general care is responsive and consistent as well as being applied with a sensitive and warm approach. You can see that a real plan exists for Hilltop particularly evident with regular activities designed and facilitated by two excellent ladies add to this the weekly facility of a hairdresser and you can see the residents feel part of a community. Mum has settled well.

I cannot rate this home and all its staff from the top to the bottom highly enough and would give them 10 stars if I could. My mum resided in Hilltop Lodge for 13 years and recently passed away. The care she received was exemplary and when she was at end of life she was still treated with dignity, respectfully and they spoke to her like a well-loved Grandma. Her family have also been well treated and as we spent so much time there I felt like many of us became more than carer/family and more like friends.

My mum has really settled in well, the staff are brilliant with all the residents and so kind and caring. The activities are good from what I have seen and the outside area is lovely to sit out on nice days. The food is excellent and there is always plenty. I would love to see more live updates and videos on the social media page of the daily activities so I can see what Mum is doing each day when I am not there and that she is enjoying herself. It would be lovely to see this.

Senior clinical managers are highly visible, involved in care delivery, and accessible on a very regular basis to families.

The management are really good and the running of the home has improved since he first went in.

Since the new management, Hilltop Lodge is a lovely care home. My dad has been here for three years now, and it is the best to has ever been. All the staff are lovely, and make it a lovely, cosy, friendly home for our loved ones. I cannot fault anything. Lovely to have such friendly faces to greet us on our visits.

Whilst only been resident for a short time, Mum has been happy and settled here, but we will obviously continue to review this.
