Malcolm Gregory celebrates his 90th year by sharing his story

The theme for Care Home Open Day this year focuses on celebration and the Queen’s 90th birthday. At Four Seasons Health Care they thought it would be nice to share some of the resident’s stories who are also celebrating their 90th year!

Malcolm will celebrate his 90th birthday on 12th December, and his claim to fame is that he shares a birthday with crooner Frank Sinatra.

One of five brothers, two of whom were killed in the war, Malcolm is something of a celebrity in Bishop Auckland. A local book focusing on the war mentions Malcolm and his family.

Embracing the butchering profession, Malcolm became a Master Butcher, running local butchers ‘Gregory’s’ until he retired.

Malcolm is a doting granddad, with three grandchildren and two great grandchildren roughly the same age as Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Now a resident at Barrington Lodge Malcolm enjoys spending his days relaxing and reminiscing about the good old days.
