The theme for Care Home Open Day this year focuses on celebration and the Queen’s 90th birthday. At Four Seasons Health Care they thought it would be nice to share some of the resident’s stories who are also celebrating their 90th year!

Park House presents Edgar Boniface

Edgar was born in Portsmouth on 22nd August 1926. When he left school he joined the Navy as an apprentice at 15 and a half. After a number of years he left the Navy and went and studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, leading him to have a successful career as an opera singer.

It was whilst he was working for Covent Garden and Arts Council he met his future wife Majorie.

They married in 1968 and had 2 children. Edgar then entered into the home brew business which he enjoyed until he retired at 75.

Now a resident at Park House Edgar enjoys spending his days relaxing and joining in with the activities held in the home. He still enjoys the odd tipple now and again.
