Service user was given a plan of the Xmas activities and given the opportunity to participate even though she is bed bound. Staff were so lovely and helpful. I received phone calls with regular updates and I have never been into a care home where staff are so accessible and welcoming making sure the
residents are safe and so well cared for.

I have to say the Park House Care Home team are amazing, so attentive. My mother has dementia, which is a challenge as many are aware. Janine has been amazing from the start as she introduced us to this care home. Everyone makes you feel welcome, and seeing my mum constantly smiling fills my heart and
my whole family's. Keep up the great work.

I very happy to have chosen Park House to care for my sister I had no reccomendation but on visiting for the first time we where happy how clean and well kept the home is. The resident all seem to be happy and as for all the staff they are all so helpful and attentive and I found the mangement so easy
to talk to.
My sister has made slight improvement and feel things will only get better.

My mum was recently a resident at this care home. I will start by saying some of the carers were very good with my mum . The events coordinator absolutely supper .
We had several issues with this care home regarding mums health. Nurses did not pick up when she had cellulitis which can turn to sepsis.
Water infection which is a common condition with dementia patients. She had plisters on her hands from constantly working around with her simmer frame. Which I was constantly cleaning and asking for padded plasters for to stop further infections. I also needed to bandaged my mums ankle because she was in pain. All of the above issues was picked up by family , NOT by staff . My mum's mental health has declined since being in that home.
Also we noticed that her buzzer was out of reach most nights. Food was of poor quality . the manager had a bad attitude towards family members. Would not recommend this home . Staff Not trained adequately for Dementia patients.

Mum had a week respite care here, while I had a week away. I spoke to her a few times while away and she was very happy. She said the staff were great and so was the food. I would be happy to use this care home again. Many thanks.

My mother in law stayed here for a couple of weeks after months in hospital. She came to the home in a terrible state, but these people were amazing from start to finish.
My mother inlaw had very advanced dementia, had to be fed and completely immobile, these beautiful angels ensured she was always
clean, hair washed. Always encouraged her to eat...although not alot, they tried, sat with her, sang to her. I can honestly say they treated her like their own family member.
Although immobile, they got her out of bed and included her in activity days.
She passed away on May 10th, but the care given there by all staff was exceptional. Im so glad she got out of hospital and managed to get into this very friendly, loving and well run home.
Cannot express how grateful us as a family are to all at Park house.
So much love and thanks to you all xx

This is a very nice and clean care home. All the staff seem to know and care after my mum. The room is clean but sometimes they forget to clean the bathroom properly. The food is nice but could be improved. Where I do get upset is the high costs that go with the care.

My mum was well looked after and the staff were all amazing. I highly recommend this care home. I staked this care home out for the first 2 weeks at the beginning going all different times due to the bad stories you hear, but I couldn't find fault with anything.
The main thing was the place was clean
and the staff were amazing from start to finish.

Current Review Score: 9.5 (9.515)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.5 (9.515) out of 10 for Park House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 29 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.515 for Park House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (211 Excellents x 5) + (90 Goods x 4) + (28 Satisfactorys x 3) + (4 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 334 Ratings = 4.515
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Park House Care Home is based on 26 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 42 registered maximum number of service users is 8.4, which has been reached with 26 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
