Review of Rose Tree Care Home from C C (Daughter of Resident) published on 9 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My mam has been in nursing care at Rose Tree since April 2026. The home has a lovely family feel, and Lynne (manager) and her team really care about their residents. The nurse Peter goes the extra mile for all the residents in his care. The carers and support staff are very supportive and look after my mam so well.
There are lots of activities organised by Katie, but sadly my mam is too poorly to take part.
It's so hard leaving your loved ones in a care home, but knowing she is safe and well cared for really helps.

My only negative is that the home could do with investment from the owners. In particular some of the heaters are faulty as the thermostats don't work, and there is no air conditioning making it uncomfortable at times for residents, staff and visitors.

Review of Rose Tree Care Home from Brian C (Husband of Resident) published on 7 July 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I was informed by the hospital that my wife was unable to return home and needed to be cared for either in hospital, hospice, or care home. We decided to search for a suitable care home but with health care capabilities. After visiting several in our area I thought weren't suitable, I was extremely fortunate to contact Rose Tree and after speaking with Lynn (manager) we were invited to visit and given a tour by Peter (charge nurse). We were very impressed with what was on offer and asked to be included on the waiting list. I can sincerely recommend the establishment and am very happy with the care and kindness shown by the staff. Unfortunately my wife is unable to take part in the activities provided by the home as she is bedbound.

I do think the staff are very helpful, but would like to see a bit more help with hygiene (towels changed out more and checking yellow bin).

Dad originally came for respite, he was very happy so is now here permanently. It's reassuring he has 24/7 care, staff are lovely. My only concern is that Dad is suffering with sore swollen legs, we have requested a few times he sees a GP now that he's registered at the home but has still not been seen (although seen by nurses).

My Grandma is so well cared for, the staff are so lovely and treat the residents like a member of their own family. Sonia is very approachable, and a huge asset to the home. She talks to all of the residents every day, and my grandmas face lights up when she sees her. We wouldn't have grandma living anywhere else and it lets us relax as family knowing she is so well cared for.

Review of Cedar Court from Toni D (Friend of Resident) published on 20 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

I have had multiple family members be resident within cedar court over a long period of time. Each family member has always been treated with the upmost care and support from the amazing staff. Cedar courts staff are always there to help in any situation and are always performing person centered care approaches to all residents needs. The management of the home is exceptional and the manager Debbie has been long standing manager who is always available and happy to help residents, families and her amazing staff group. I wouldn't use any other home I honestly can't thank the team and care they give enough credit!

The Staff and care is good. The Care Home is well run which is down to Sonia the Manager who is excellent and is always approachable if there are any problems which are sorted if possible. Sonia cares for all the residents and residents families and is fair with all the staff. If Sonia was replaced or left the Care Home it would deteriorate and we would follow her through the door to wherever she becomes Manager.

Review of Beechdale Manor Care Home from L A (Wife of Resident) published on 13 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My husband has been at Beechdale Manor since January 2026. I visited many care homes some were like 5 star hotels but I never had a gut feeling for them. I visited Beechdale Manor without an appointment and Sonia the Manager invited me into the home to look around and she took time to inform me regarding their home.I saw how the staff were very caring, actively listening to the residents and responding although some of the residents were non responsive. It is very clean and the residents rooms are a good size. My husband is in the latter stages of dementia and as with many residents families you don't want to place them in a home. My husband is on the 1st floor and the staff are absolutely amazing they are so caring, professional take time not just with the residents but also their families which I find very comforting and a great support. I am so happy that my husband is living at Beechdale Manor and I know I couldn't have found a more caring home. A big THANKYOU to you all

Review of Beechdale Manor Care Home from L W (Niece of Resident) published on 13 May 2026 Submitted via Website

Staff are always on hand to help with any difficulties. Sometimes my family member doesn't want to eat what's on the menus and the cooks are brilliant at accommodating my family member and cook something else. The management have always listened to the concerns that I've had over the past year and a half. The staff also help my family member go to the shops if I'm unavailable and also help with their hair. The garden is a lovely addition to the home but does need a little tidying up, as well as the building (it's looking a little tired and outdated). My family member always enjoys the activities too. It's a little annoying to be let out of the building as you don't want to keep the carers from their work. However, I can see why due to keeping the residents safe. Keep up the good work Beechdale!!! :)

Review of Primrose House Care Home from Graham B (Brother of Resident) published on 23 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
The standard of care in this care home is, frankly terrible. My brothers room never looks clean and the staff are very slow to clean him up.
My brother has dementia and is supposedly getting palliative care. I see very little sign of this.
I visited my brother on Monday and his breakfast was all over his bed. He can't feed himself as he is too weak. I saw the manager who promised that he would be fed his meals from now on. On Tuesday my other brother found him lying on his back with a stone cold untouched breakfast on the table. On Wednesday I went in early and a carer brought in his breakfast and put it on his knee. I asked her to feed him and she said she didn't have time so I fed him. I saw the "Manager" again who said she would sort it out. I have her name and will report this shocking state of affairs and lack of basic care to every authority I can think of.
Please think twice before putting a loved one in this home.

The staff always say that they are short staffed. GET MORE STAFF.
