Mum has always received excellent care since moving to Eatbourne Care Home, however during May I have seen her interactions more with staff, Amanda always has an open door policy and is happy to discuss any concerns and in general has taken the time to get to know myself as well as mum.

I have asked members of staff ie seniors about my mothers weight loss and nothing seems to have been done, also informed staff regarding toilet door needs attention. The room is very tired looking as well as the bathroom fire door not closing when fire alarm rings (testing)

My uncle has been in Eastbourne Care Home for several weeks now and has received wonderful care from all the staff. He is well looked after by everyone. The home itself is lovely with various little events on from time to time. All in all an excellent home with lovely staff.

The home is a lovely, friendly place with a nice atmosphere and is a pleasure to visit. The staff are great; they are helpful and offer great care to my mam. It's a lovely place for all the residents to live and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a place for a member of their family.

The staff and care given to my mum has been excellent. Staff friendly and caring. The home is dated and could do with upgrading. My mum does complain about the food often being cold. She doesn't participate in the activities. He room is always kept very clean and the laundry service is very good.

I haven't filled in "Activities" or "Value for Money" as I haven't sen any activities and am not privy to "Value for Money" or the financial terms. I think the staff are needed especially on the assessment floor and more could be done to get the residents mobile again. Definitely need some activities to stimulate the residents. The staff do their best with limited numbers. The bedding could be better and often residents laundry goes missing.

Reply from Bernadette Cromwell, Head of Marketing at Eastbourne Care Home

Mum recently came into Eastbourne Care Home. Mum suffers from severe anxiety and both the manager and all the staff have made mum's admission and mum at total ease. They spend time explaining everything to us as a family and we and mum feel very lucky to be looked after by this exceptional team. So pleased we picked Eastbourne Care Home.

Lovely staff, can't do enough for my uncle or us when we visit. He loves the staff. The Receptionist is always very welcoming with a smile and all the staff are very obliging. Plenty of food, he loves his food well presented and plenty of it. The rooms very very, small but adequate. The garden is lovely but make a few more flowers. Ask the family to bring some instead of cut flowers.

The home is very friendly and has an open-door policy with the Manager. The staff are fantastic. Mum's room is kept clean, tidy and in good repair. Mum's clothes are kept well and the girls are happy to keep me informed when replacements such as (underwear and nightwear etc) are needed. Very happy with this management.
