Best care home I know. Majority of staff are amazing some of the staff I feel as though it's 'just a job' to them. My auntie is well looked afte. Very clean home. Manager is very polite and is very approachable, always plenty of activities going on. The thing I love the most is residential is a separate
floor (where my Auntie is) 4**** from me. Highly recommend! Not everyone gets on with everyone, but this is life.

My mother has been a patient at Rosetree Nursing Home for about 18 months. She is very happy here. She has had a stroke in the past that has made walking difficult and her speech difficult. She can manage to get to the toilet with help but can no longer walk to the dining room independently. She appreciates
the help she gets from the nursing staff to move around. She likes the nursing home and is well cared for here.

My Dad was at Rose Tree for a short period before he passed away. The care home couldn't have done enough - manager Lynn, nurse Peter on the nursing floor, and all of the carers and other staff we met. They were kind, empathetic and helpful to what my Dad and our family needed at a difficult time. Thank
you

When I first visited Rose Tree I didn't know what to expect, would it be clean, would not be smelly, what if the staff were not nice?
But Rose Tree Care Home has exceeded all my expectations and I could not be happier with the care that my wife receives. The management and staff/carers are worth their
weight in gold.

From the moment we walked into Rose Tree when looking initially for respite care for our mum, it felt just right. All of the staff without exception made both my mum and the family very welcome. The staff genuinely care for the residents and it is apparent they do all they can to treat the residents
as individuals. The home is secure, very cosy and the bedrooms are comfortable. Mum is eating better than she has for some time and describes Rose Tree as "very pleasant". There are regular activities too and nothing is too much trouble. The high standard of care is evident, the place is immaculate with the bedrooms cleaned daily. My mum always looks nice and loves having her hair done in the hair salon. Lynne, the manager, is very experienced and with an open door policy is always visible and approachable. She has provided me with support at a very difficult time for which as a family we are grateful. I have no hesitation in recommending Rose Tree.

From viewing Rose Tree, to mum becoming a permanent resident. The whole family were treated with respect, assured on all matters and concerns. Lynne's open door policy means so much. But any questions or concerns no matter how small, any member of the amazing team could help and if not they went out
of their way to find out or a solution to a question, Rose Tree is the most secure care home I have ever been in. Mum, wondered at home we have no issues with her being safe. Fab place 100%.

The family took my mum-in-law for respite due to family illness, she loved it so much, she is now permanent. The home has a lovely atmosphere, staff are great and very friendly. Treating the residents with dignity and support. The rooms are cleaned daily and the food is very tasty and nutritious. Plenty

My Mam is very well looked after in Rose Tree.
The staff are kind and considerate. My Dad visits every day, and they are very compassionate with him also.
The care Mam receives is excellent. Although she has communication problems and is non verbal, staff still chat away to her, and have learnt her
responses.
Mom's room is lovely, with doors into the courtyard.
I'm very happy with her care and would recommend it without hesitation.

My Nanna came to Rose Tree Cottage Care Home in late 2024. She has settled in relatively quickly and she feels at home. The staff are friendly and attentive. She enjoys some of the activities that are provided with some encouragement from the activities coordinator and staff.
The meals are very nice
and tasty and she is offered tea, coffee, and biscuits on a regular basis.
My Nanna's room could do with a touch of redecoration but it is nice and clean and warm and her bed is very comfortable.
Overall I really do like Rose Tree Care Home and trust that they look after my Nanna well. Thank you very much.

Staff are lovely. Rooms are clean.
I was disappointed with the tea served to a resident. Did not look appetising at all.
There should be board games, cards, dominoes, activities on offer to include residents. This would improve mental wellbeing and friendship.
Reply from Gracie, Marketing Assistant at Rose Tree Care HomeThank you for your feedback. We appreciate your comments about our staff and the cleanliness of our rooms. The care provided to my dad was excellent! The staff and management are fantastic and looked after my dad with professionalism, kindness, fun, smiles, and they are so very caring. I heard the staff refer to the care home as a home for their residents and they truly do treat residents as though they
are an extension of family. The rooms and shared areas are welcoming and very clean and the food is lovely. Dad's needs were fully met, from being warm, clean, well fed, shaved, wearing his favourite shirts, to the care and compassion he received. The visiting doctor and the district nurse were lovely too and working with the care home team, fully looked after my dad and made sure he received the medical help as and when needed. As a visitor, I was always made to feel welcome (and often fed with cups of coffee, food and biscuits), and I would absolutely recommend this care home.

I can’t possibly praise the staff and management enough for caring for my mum. She is a reluctant resident, but they have all made her so welcome. We had a medical emergency last week and if Mum had still been at home, she would have died! I’m so grateful for the staff on the residential floor. They’re
amazing! Can’t thank them enough.

Overall, the care given is really good, depending on who is taking care of my parent. Walking into the home is like walking into some one's house. The staff are generally very pleasant and helpful. My only concern is there is not enough stimulation, although I do realise it can't be forced on her.

Current Review Score: 9.7 (9.737)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.737) out of 10 for Rose Tree Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.862 for Rose Tree Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (152 Excellents x 5) + (21 Goods x 4) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 174 Ratings = 4.862
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rose Tree Care Home is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.875
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 44 registered maximum number of service users is 8.8, which has been reached with 15 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
