Rose Tree Care Home

The most amazing, caring, and supportive team! My grandma was with them from October to May and she was well and truly cared for. They go above and beyond for their residents and their family members. Best care home in and around the Prudhoe/Mickley area!

The care provided to my dad was excellent! The staff and management are fantastic and looked after my dad with professionalism, kindness, fun, smiles, and they are so very caring. I heard the staff refer to the care home as a home for their residents and they truly do treat residents as though they are an extension of family. The rooms and shared areas are welcoming and very clean and the food is lovely. Dad's needs were fully met, from being warm, clean, well fed, shaved, wearing his favourite shirts, to the care and compassion he received. The visiting doctor and the district nurse were lovely too and working with the care home team, fully looked after my dad and made sure he received the medical help as and when needed. As a visitor, I was always made to feel welcome (and often fed with cups of coffee, food and biscuits), and I would absolutely recommend this care home.

I can’t possibly praise the staff and management enough for caring for my mum. She is a reluctant resident, but they have all made her so welcome. We had a medical emergency last week and if Mum had still been at home, she would have died! I’m so grateful for the staff on the residential floor. They’re amazing! Can’t thank them enough.

Overall, the care given is really good, depending on who is taking care of my parent. Walking into the home is like walking into some one's house. The staff are generally very pleasant and helpful. My only concern is there is not enough stimulation, although I do realise it can't be forced on her.

I am a very close friend and neighbour of a resident at Rose Tree Care Home and every time I have visited I have been extremely pleased with the care, service and compassion provided.

My grandma is well looked after here and they are always coming round and offering tea and cake to residents and visitors. I bought my two young children on my most recent visit, and staff were lovely. The decor and furniture could use some updating but is generally clean and tidy in all areas with friendly staff and an inviting atmosphere.

The care and concern given to my mother at Rose Tree Care Home is second to nine. The cleanliness of her environment and her personal hygiene is excellent. The surroundings within the home are very pleasant, warm, colourful and comfortable. Food and drink is varied and plentiful, and socialising is arranged and encouraged. I have no complaints. Staff are lovely!

My father has been in the home since August 2022. He was welcomed and made at ease to settle into his now new home. The decor of the home and of the rooms are of good taste. This home is a warm and friendly home. The cares are very caring and are a great company to my father. The activities they have on a daily basis are varied and would suit all of the residents. We are very happy with the home as my father is cared for and is safe.

My father has been a resident at Rose Tree since June 2022. We were initially concerned whether he would settle in a new environment with people he didn't know. We have been delighted with the support he has received. The staff have been excellent and he has adapted well and enjoys life in Rose Tree. He has a bright, clean double bedroom with modern ensuite facilities. He has personalised his room with family photos and momentoes. He has built friendly relationships with the staff who have made him feel very welcome and professionally take care of all his needs. He enjoys his meals which he can have in the dining room or his bedroom. He has joined in with some of the social activities, especially the karaoke which he enjoys. The manager and staff have fully supported us as a family and have more than met our expectations.

My mother is 101 years old and has been a resident at Rose Tree Care Home for a year. As a family, we have found the staff to be patient, courteous and inclusive. The home is very well managed by the Manager and she created a relaxed and very friendly atmosphere. The staff often work with reduced support but I have never found them to be anything but attentive and professional. Thank you to all.

My mother was only in the care for a month, yet she received excellent care and support. She was treated with dignity to the end and I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone. Many thanks and my undying gratitude to all concerned.

Moving my mother into a carehome was a terribly difficult decision but failing health forced the decision. I have been overwhelmed by the caring attitude of the staff I have encountered. Each and everyone from every discipline has been kind and caring and considerate. I applaud them all.

My Dad has been in Rose Tree Care Home for just over a year. Obviously, with Covid, it has been impossible to visit him since early this year. When I initially did visit I couldn’t have been happier with Rose Tree. It has an amazingly welcoming and happy atmosphere. All the staff are extremely friendly and they do lots of fun activities with the residents. Also, one big bonus, it doesn’t ‘smell’ like an old people’s home! Well Done Rose Tree and thank you for caring for my Dad.

Although Mum was only with you 9-days, we really appreciated the way the staff worked with her and ourselves to make her welcome.

My brother was admitted to Rose Tree after many weeks of not coping at home. Unfortunately, he tested positive for Covid-19 and we were unable to visit him, but the staff let my sister speak to him on the phone, updated us daily and passed our messages on to him. It was lovely to know his last meal was a desert, his favourite. We felt the staff cared for their patients. Thank you.

My father received several weeks of end of life care at Rose Tree. Despite enormous and unprecedented challenges from the Corona pandemic, the care he received was outstanding. Each and every member of staff welcomed him warmly and quickly got to know him. He truly felt at home. His medical and emotional needs were met with care, compassion and utmost professionalism at all times. Towards the end of his life, staff unfailingly gave him care that was well beyond their remit. Both my dad and I felt wonderfully supported during his final days, and for this, I am immensely grateful.

I would not hesitate to recommend Rose Tree Care Home.

My husband has settled into Rose Tree Care Home surprising quickly. This is all due to the care and attention from the manager, nursing and caring staff. The food is second to none. There is always a lovely atmosphere and I receive a warm welcome on my daily visits.

The home only reopened in July and of course, there have been a couple of minor teething problems but they were sorted immediately, I can just say that never once have I worried about leaving my mother there and that visiting is a positive experience.
