My Dad has been in Rose Tree Care Home for just over a year. Obviously, with Covid, it has been impossible to visit him since early this year. When I initially did visit I couldn’t have been happier with Rose Tree. It has an amazingly welcoming and happy atmosphere. All the staff are extremely friendly
and they do lots of fun activities with the residents. Also, one big bonus, it doesn’t ‘smell’ like an old people’s home! Well Done Rose Tree and thank you for caring for my Dad.

Although Mum was only with you 9-days, we really appreciated the way the staff worked with her and ourselves to make her welcome.

My brother was admitted to Rose Tree after many weeks of not coping at home. Unfortunately, he tested positive for Covid-19 and we were unable to visit him, but the staff let my sister speak to him on the phone, updated us daily and passed our messages on to him. It was lovely to know his last meal
was a desert, his favourite. We felt the staff cared for their patients. Thank you.

My father received several weeks of end of life care at Rose Tree. Despite enormous and unprecedented challenges from the Corona pandemic, the care he received was outstanding. Each and every member of staff welcomed him warmly and quickly got to know him. He truly felt at home. His medical and emotional
needs were met with care, compassion and utmost professionalism at all times. Towards the end of his life, staff unfailingly gave him care that was well beyond their remit. Both my dad and I felt wonderfully supported during his final days, and for this, I am immensely grateful.

My husband is a resident at Rose Tree Care Home, and has settled much better than I thought he would! Any teething problems were dealt with promptly, and the food is outstanding, thanks to our amazing chef who Goes above and beyond to ensure the residents have delicious home-cooked food and also goes
the extra mile for residents special occasions.
I would not hesitate to recommend Rose Tree Care Home.

My husband has settled into Rose Tree Care Home surprising quickly. This is all due to the care and attention from the manager, nursing and caring staff. The food is second to none. There is always a lovely atmosphere and I receive a warm welcome on my daily visits.

I have recommended this care to others, and already one of my friend’s mother’s has moved in.
The home is light and bright, not just in the decor but also the mood and feel, the staff are friendly and there is much laughter. My mother was one of the first residents in since it reopened. Following
a stroke in June, she is paralysed down one side and needs nursing care, her needs are being well met, and not just from a personal care and nursing aspect they also ensure she has as much dignity as possible and is as happy/content as possible.
My Mother thinks the food is great (this is high praise indeed!)
The home only reopened in July and of course, there have been a couple of minor teething problems but they were sorted immediately, I can just say that never once have I worried about leaving my mother there and that visiting is a positive experience.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.052)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.052) out of 10 for Rose Tree Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.557 for Rose Tree Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (53 Excellents x 5) + (20 Goods x 4) + (4 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 79 Ratings = 4.557
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.495 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rose Tree Care Home is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 44 registered maximum number of service users is 8.8. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 8.8 = 0.795
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2019

I have worked in care for over 40 years first as a nurse in Psychiatry then moved practice in to Management with in the private sector.
In early 2000 I changed my job role to continue development in the teaching sector an area of practice which I found very rewarding, after 13 years I made the decision to come back in to direct care taking up the role once again as a Home’s Manager
Although it is a demanding role it is also a very rewarding position one which I do embrace whole heartedly
I am now looking forward to the next stage of working alongside the devoted and caring team of Rose Tree Care Home
