Over the Easter period residents and staff at The Manor House care home in Barnard Castle enjoyed Easter egg hunts, an egg painting competition and a special chocolate demonstration by Kelsey Anderson of the Kacoa Chocolaterie.
The Kacoa Chocolaterie is based just outside Richmond and produces handmade chocolate treats such as dipped ganache and truffles.
Catherine Howard, lifestyle coordinator at The Manor House said: “Kelsey’s chocolate making demonstration was very interesting as she talked about where cacao beans come from and how they are treated to produce chocolate. The added bonus was that we got to taste the delicious things she made too.
“We all had fun decorating hard boiled eggs for the competition and enjoyed a great Easter tea including traditional home-baked simnel cake.”
